We lived here for two years and loved it! We were sad to leave these apartments for our new living arrangement. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath. The apartment itself is very spacious. It almost felt like living in a house given how big it was. People always complimented our apartment for its size and coziness! All of the appliances worked well, it gets a little bit cold during the winter but the central A/C worked perfectly in all seasons to keep us comfortable! The balcony is great but the downstairs patios are even bigger giving tenants a small backyard! The management was very pleasant! Olga was always on top of things and very kind! Whenever we submitted service requests, they were timely completed. The rent for the apartment you get is incredibly affordable! If your looking into Timbers apartments, this is a great place for your safety, convenience, space and the neighbors are lovely!

It makes me proud to say that Timbers is my home. The rooms are spacious and have been nicely upgraded. The backyards are huge if you live downstairs. Location and neighborhood are the top priorities. All stores and schools are so close that you can walk or drive without too much distance. All problems are handled by The Timbers Management in a timely manner. Staying at the Timbers is something I really enjoy.

We have rented here for a couple of years so far and our experience has been great. The buildings themselves are from the 70s so there are some minor flaws that come with that, however it is nothing that majorly affects the quality of life here. The property is clean and well taken care of. Units gets cleaned and touched up very well prior to new tenants moving in. The bedrooms are HUGE! There is plenty of storage space. The backyards for the downstairs units are wonderful and very spacious. All of the neighbors are quiet from what we’ve experienced so far, making these apartments a peaceful place to be, especially with a baby. The management and maintenance is very responsive and helpful to the best of their ability. We especially love the proximity of these apartments to multiple schools, shopping plazas, parks and more. We truly enjoy living here.

You are correct, The Timbers Apartments complex was built in the 1970s and that is one of the main reasons that the rooms and backyards are spacious as that was the architectural style in that era. In order to maintain and improve the integrity of the buildings, we are consistently renovating and improving the buildings such as changing the roofs. Thank you for your positive sentiments!
What makes The Timbers Apartments okay is the location. I can walk to Nugget Market, Target, Starbucks, Dollar Tree, etc. Two parks are within walking distance as is Southport Elementary School (Washington Unified School District). During my tenancy here I have experienced some financial difficulties. Timbers management has worked with me. I appreciate the small, semi private community. Now for the less than okay things. The two on-site swimming pools have been mostly closed since 2020. The laundry room I have used has 4 washers, 4 dryers, thar frequently need repair, and the laundry room (floods) becomes inaccessible when there's rain. The buildings were constructed in 1975. I don't know what,if any, major remodeling has been done. The walkways and pavement need repair. Fencing around patios/yards need replaced, balconies need repaired or replaced, many units need new windows, doors need weatherstripping, units need better insulation, air ducts need cleaned, appliances and amenities need upgraded. I have access to one parking space, not two. Ants invade my apartment every few months. Utilities (water, sewer, garbage) are sub metered and my PG&E bill is high during the summer. Minimum effort and cost are standard when repairs are needed. Maintenance gets used items from vacant units or storage for tenants apartments. I'm appreciative to have a home but will move when possible.
Apartments are extremely outdated. My kitchen is extremely old. I asked management to remodel but they wont. Windows are soo thin heat and a/c bill comes in high due to issue. When ever i have issues they bring used things from other empty apartments. Management is never in the office she is always away. They hire There family members to do work instead of professionals and they pocket the cash. Do not rent here.
