Property Ratings at Village Park Apartments
The value at this property is unquestionable. Maintenance teams are prompt and thorough, and management is available, accommodating, and professional.
We have been at Village Park 2 years coming up on our 3rd and I just have to say how amazing the maintenance is here. Anytime we have any problems they are always here to help and they are prompt with arrival and service. Kudos to our maintenance for being so helpful. They staff here have always been amazing as well! The accessibility to shops, stores, resteraunts, bus routes at village park is very nice as well. We even have a little one that we can take on little strolls around the neighborhood.
Live there 8years, clean the place for a week before moving out. Was told place looked good, ask when would I get my deposit. Was told within 30days, made many calls was told it was sent out. After 40 plus days was told I will not get a deposit and owe $328.00 plus my depost. Somehow after I gave back the keys. 40days plus as I said, they tell me the carpet had a stain, blinds are warp from hot summers and want me to pay for carpet, blinds, and kitchen floor. This mysterious stain appears after I moved out. This is all fabricated lies to keep my deposit. I really believe this is all racially motivated and others are treated differently. I will have a news channel investigator go over to talk to these scam artists. I really deserved my deposit and won't quit until these crooks are exposed.
I've lived at Village Park Apartments for close to 2 years. Julie, the leasing manager, has been great. She addresses and takes care of any issues promptly and has maintenance come quickly. Julie is very kind and caring, showing true concern for any problems and the welfare of everyone. So far I have liked living there. When I first I went to the complex to see if I wanted to live there, I was given keys to look at actual apartments that would be rented, not a model property, which was great. Most of my neighbors are good about noise and are pretty nice. I walk my dog at night frequently and I never encounter anything dangerous or suspicious. It's a relatively safe area to live in.
I lived here for about 7 months and never had an issue with management or neighbors. I signed a year lease but had to break it unexpectedly. I moved fairly quick and Julie the leasing manager was very helpful and understanding. It made my move way less stressful.
I lived here for 2 years and when I moved out they billed me for new carpets and vinyl floors. I have never in my life not gotten my deposit check back let alone been charged extra fees. When my roommate and I moved in all of the flooring was already in terrible condition. It had not been properly maintained or cleaned. We left this apartment in better condition than when we received it. It is overpriced, run down and under kept. I am still waiting for proof that they have replaced what they are charging me for and I am seeking legal advise. Please take your business elsewhere. Moving has enough headaches, no one deserves this one!
I can't believe what the owner of these apartments gets away with. I caught her in so many lies, not hard to do if you talk to other tenants and do a little research. Some of them were major, like covering up serious neglect involving tenant health and safety. Others were so she could save a little money or get out of doing a small amount of work. Don't believe her when she says she has "higher-ups." This is so she can throw her hands in the air and blame it on someone else so you go away. She is the owner and the sole employee, aside from the maintenance man. I was so sleep-deprived all the time when I lived here because of the noise, day and night. Some of it was from thin walls, but most of it was from loud, inconsiderate, even dangerous tenants the owner/manager did absolutely nothing about. I was basically paying to not be able to sleep, and I typically fall asleep pretty easily. I have lived in more apartments than I can count on two hands and none of them have come close to my experience living at this place.
I lived there for 5 years. When I moved out they billed me for a new carpet and vinyl flooring. I said I'd be happy to pay if they'd furnish the original receipts to prove the flooring was newer than 7 years. Their rental agreement says carpets etc replaced every 7 years at no charge to renter. I never heard back from them...until three years later when we were contacted by a collection agency.
