Waterford Greens Apartments

I lived in these apartments from Aug 2021-Dec 2021. From the first day, (the day I drove all the way from NJ to IL) John decided to tell me that my six months of rent was due upfront. There was no prior arrangement of this and he expected me to hand over 6 months plus security deposit. He would not let me move into my apartment unless I had paid everything in full. Thats not even the worst part. My apartment smelled of smoke for the first couple of months living there. In September I had THOUSANDS of ants swarming my apartment and it took weeks before an exterminator came. John, the landlord, is a very rude and inconsiderate person to rent from. After that my washer broke and it started pouring into my apartment, again it took weeks before someone came to fix it. The only way you get John to do his job is if you continuously pester him and not back down. The grounds are not well kept at all, the gym and pool were closed the entire six months. Not that they were updated or useable regardless. He would enter my apartment uninvited, I had a security camera. Packages were stolen out of the main office. To top it all off, when I moved out and received my security deposit/pet deposit back. He conveniently took out a paint fee that covered the pet deposit...I took before and after pictures and have proof I left that place cleaner than its probably ever been. Regardless of leaving multiple messages about the deposit he conveniently took- he has yet to morally do the right thing and return it. If you take anything from this, do not live here. I was so excited to have my own place for the first time and places like Waterford Greens and landlords like John completely ruined it. Save your time and money and go to someplace else.

Please don't waste your money living in this horrible place. I've never dealt with a worse property manager than John. He's extremely confrontational and won't listen or try to help you with anything you need. The grounds are atrocious, and you will be dealing with pests. Go live anywhere else besides waterford slums.

Please stay away from this property, the manager(John) is very rude and do not bother about the residents. We are just few weeks old in the apartment and had horrible experience dealing with the manager. He is not sympathetic nor reasonable to understand your point. We had wonderful time in other properties and with management but this is our first time encountering such bad management. According to him (John) he put the letter/notice on our door to move the car from parking lot(for some pavement work) but unfortunately we did not get it, later he towed our car and charged $95 to get it back. He did not have courtesy to call based on our parking sticker number. We are new in Naperville and atleast he should have called or knocked our door as reminder. Worst thing is that he is not agreeing that we did not get letter. He himself has no proof that he put it on our door. We felt like cheated. Notice would have flown away or some kid might have taken....GOD knows. They are still in stone age and sending letter/notices door to door instead of sending emails. I would seriously move out ASAP. I would recommend not to waste time if you want to stay in peace. I wish I could give negative rating. They don't even deserve one star because of the manager.

The management at this complex is a joke. They will not care about your issues and will be slow to respond to any requests. There are plenty of other options out there to live. We can't wait to leave this place and I hope to help prevent at least one person from making the same mistake we did.

This complex is under horrible management who do not care for the apartments or the residents. The office management is an absolute joke. When I moved in my apartment it was not cleaned, and was infested with spiders. It took MONTHS until the apartment was spider free. John the property’s manger simply said “there’s nothing we can do”. Instead every month I had to beg to have my apartment sprayed for spiders again and again. Anytime there was a maintenance issue it took what felt like forever to address. The corking around the toilet was leaking when moved in and it was STILL leaking when we moved out. I was ashamed that I paid to live there every month. When my lease was finally up it took MONTHS until I got my security deposit back. I had to call repeatedly over and over and when I would ask where it was John had to “look into it” and said he would call me back. But of course he never did. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone. You can find much better apartments elsewhere.

I have lived at Waterford Greens now for over a year...it is really a great quality place to live around the Lisle/Naperville area. Grounds are cleanly; every maintenance request I have submitted was completed within 24-48 hours. The office staff has been attentive and receptive to any calls and issues that I have. Only downside is that I live downstairs in a building I hear some music a little up but I understand people want to have fun This is not a complaint by any means, as this is expected when you live in an apartment complex. Overall I am very happy here. I wouldn't have renewed my lease if I wasn't! I would gladly refer friends to this complex at any time. Well done Waterford Green! The property grounds are clean free of any garbage and well kept. Quiet community very great for families. You can enjoy peaceful walks daily. Overall the staff is very polite and attentive to your needs. People in the office in particular is very helpful and was able to answer all the questions I needed. I also thought it was nice they even referenced a child care center in the area when they recognized I had a child.Also was nice of the manager to come at my apartment when something was wrong with my furnace. The leasing girl directed the call wright away and Maintenance came right away it was the time for them to live the office. This is a great place to live. Clean environments, friendly and responsible team help you with any problem you have for your apartment. You could have fun here, especially in summer. However, the club house is very neat , all entertainment amenities are great. It would have more fun if we could use them.

Apartments have access to indoor and outdoor pool, plus workout facilities.

The location is lovely, I just wish they took better care of the property.

i really enjoy living here. the location is great (close to downtown Naperville), they have a wonderful workout facility, and twice when I had something wrong with my unit they fixed it right away. I have the two bedroom townhome and really like the extra closet space and the private entrance. There are restaurants and stores within walking distance so I don't even need to use my car! The townhome has one patio and one balcony which is really nice and an extra storage closet as well located on the patio.
