Named for oilman Walter Fondren, this historic neighborhood contains some hidden gems and is rapidly gaining in popularity due in part to its proximity to Downtown Houston, which is just 15 miles northeast. Houston Baptist University is just outside the neighborhood and is easily reached by heading north on Fondren Road. Greater Fondren Southwest is considered one of Houston's Super Neighborhoods. There’s an amazing mix of low-lying apartments and single-family homes for rent, meaning every renter will find their perfect fit.

Property Ratings at Happy Town
Look elsewhere even if the starting prices entice you. Poorly managed and maintained complex. Small dumpsters so there is trash like a third world country. Security gates are always in disrepair and open for anyone to come and go. Management will do the bare minimum to maintain your unitif they do anything at all. Infested with rats with no attempt to even try to remedy. Loud music at night with no consequence. Take your money to another complex.
The apartment setting I reside in need of security, night lighting and more trash containers or trash pickup
If you want a safe place to stay, comfort, reliable maintenance, competent office staff, or a quiet place. Well, you won't find any of those qualities at pebble brook apartments. I've been here for two years and management has changed three times and each time they find a way to be worse than the last. Currently we don't even have a office manager. I'm stuck in a apartment that has mold from flood damage because they said it would be $300 to transfer to another apartment. The area is horribly unsafe, my car was stolen with in the first week of moving here and I've actually seen a gun shooting while walking my dog. My experience here has been nothing but disapointment and tragedy. The only good thing was that it was really cheap at first. But now if I was to renew my lease, the rent would go up a hundred dollars and it would no longer be all bills paid. Save yourself the hassle of this dangerous area and go find something else is my humble suggestion.
Maintenance only come the first couple of months then they never come again no matter what happens and how much u speak to management including pipe burst. also the office is not organized the always procrastinate forever and use every excuse there is bug problems no matter how clean you are (even if your OCD)wouldn't stay here again ready to leave. They get fake reviews because they give you discount if you do a review the first month you there of course everyone wants discount who don't you don't have time to really see how the complex is.
I don't like the fact that they don't have security here all the time been here for a year only seen security for the first couple of months.Need to keep a better eye on residents leaving trash everywhere. On the other Hand the office staff is good maintanance needs a little improvement but for the most part they are reliable.
