Property Ratings at Hillside Meadows-The Perfect Place to Call...
When you call, they will quote you prices $100-200 more than what is listed here. If you ask why they are not the same as what is on this site, they will say that they have "no idea" but that "a lot of people ask about it for some reason." Well duh, shouldn't you be looking into this if that's the case? Their actual website doesn't list prices at all, only has "call for price." Seems like they just make prices up as they go. Anyway, looking elsewhere.
I just moved here over. A month ago . An honestly I’m so glad I did . The apartments are very clean , affordable, diverse area, there is soo many stores/restaurants minutes away ! Lastly I love the location ! Definitely be renewing my lease it’s nice saving money and the apartments are seriously nice !! I absolutely love my little studio apartment !
Prices listed are not actual prices. If you are in a budget, look elsewhere.
New ownership has done a great job cleaning up the property ! The office staff is friendly and always available to help.
It's a nice place to stay. Clean units, helpful staff!
Love living here. Location is great, it's affordable and community is very welcoming and safe. People at the office and maintenance are very helpful. Any issues I had, were dealt with in timely manner. I would definitely recommend this complex to family and friends.
This property was turned around with lot of new features, I’m beyond impressed with the kindness of staffing and easy leasing process. Highly recommended.
After living here for two years, the leasing staff are some of the nicest people I know. Maintenance is always kind as well and timely. I love my cute end unit, it's the perfect place for me!
We looked a long while for an apartment community that was not only within our budget, but also gave me a sense of community and where my wife would feel safe. We considered some downtown areas but decided that our best bet was to find a place here at Hillside. Not only is the price within our budget and competitive, but the new management here is making so many improvements! I’m honestly excited for all that happening. I don’t know what happened years ago before I lived here, but these guys know what they are doing. It’s great to come home after being at work all day and knowing that you live in an apartment community where they care about you.
Unit is very clean. Landlord responds to maintenance and other requests quickly and works with you on all problems. Unit was also priced very well. Would definitely recommend.
I have lived here for over 2 1/2 years without any issues. Staff is great to work with. New owners have made significate improvements to make the experience better.
Great complex. The new owners have turned the property around and put in a lot of upgrades. On site staff is very friendly and professional.
This property has changed so much since the new owners took over. Lots of improvements to the sidewalks, parking lots, roofs, stairs into the buildings, common areas, and the apartments. There is a new office and something else being built at the front of the community. Can't wait to check it out. I also heard rumors about a playground and a community garden in the future. HOW COOL!
Owners & management really care about their tenants & have made huge improvements to the community since they took it over. The employees are friendly & the community is clean, quiet and safe. I highly recommend Hillside Meadows.
I’ve been living in this apartment complex for over a year now and I have to say that I’m very happy with my experience. The new management team is very responsive and helpful whenever I have any issues or questions. The maintenance staff is also very prompt and professional. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a great place to live. Rent is affordable!
This is a great property and so many updates have been done since the new owner took over - it created a safe and beautiful community. I highly recommend it
Stay away from this place, they do not care for their tenants they just want a payment.
By far the worse place I have ever stayed. There are roaches and had a bed bug issue as soon as I moved in. The electricity has gone out
Do not come to Whitehall apartments if u are scared of roaches and they don’t care for the tenants here.
I lived here for a year. I made several complains about my refrigerator and it took me a long time to get it fixed. On top of that I decided not to renew my lease, they charged me for not renewing my lease after I asked several times for them to send me a copy of my lease so that I can see where it says that I have to pay for not letting them know i wasn't renewing my lease. I gave them a 30 day notice and i didn't renew it because i was being stalked and harassed as I explained to them. they said i owed them over 1100, kept my security deposit and sent me to collections. they do not care about their tenants.
To most of you who read this it won't be much but those those who feel lucky enough to get a top floor apartment you should know when they schedule any type of work on the roof/gutter/anything in the top of the building it WILL sound as if someone is in your apartment banging on your wall and is it ALWAYS first thing that said company or maintenance man gets in around 7 or 8 am
Had to leave for the military and they continue to charge me for the apartment after I left the apartment in very good condition before the 1st of the next month. All they care about is $.
At first this seemed like a good, well priced place for a starter apartment, but after only 4 months we couldn't be more wrong. Within a month we had a leak from our bathroom to our kitchen, it was taken care of in a timely manner, so we didn't think much of it. Then a month later, on a rainy night, the ceiling in one of the bedrooms began leaking, I submitted a maintenance request and was told someone would be out that day, after 3 phone calls and a visit to the office where the receptionist was extremely rude to us, we were told no one would be out that day. Three weeks later a roofing company finally came out to fix it, but only made it much worse, destroying my mattress. We were finally told a week later it was fixed, only to have it start leaking again after a month. The manager was kind enough to give us a discount on our rent for one month (which is why this review has two stars instead of one), but that doesn't change the fact that there was no sense of urgency in fixing this problem, and it still has not been done right. Be wary of this place.
The rent here is cheap, it is cheap because it is the only way they can convince people to lease from them. I lived here for 6 months, only half of my stove worked, no one ever cam to fix it.. the halls smell terrible.. and the leasing office seem like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed every time you step foot in the building to ask or give them something. I would not recommend this place to anyone.. I left the place cleaner than it was the day i moved in and they charged a 100 dollar cleaning fee to clean the ceiling fan! Like i said its cheap because it is the only way to get people to move in to there dirty, smelly rooms.
Read reviews of good & the bad at WhiteHall. There are good! Drive around the neighborhood. Convenient strip mall, 5 minutes away w/ Giant Eagle, Hair Salon, Post Office, a variety of stores. Up Streets Run Road, a 8 minute ride, there's a SAMs Club & Walmart, Gabriel's & much more. The office personal is friendly & helpful w/ questions presented. So what that Indians & Mexicans walk around. There are a lot of Caucasians & Afroamericans that walk around too. Yes, there are children, there's a baseball/football field minutes away. Look at an apartment before making a decision. You're not obligated to sign a lease that day! Do your homework before moving in! If you're prejudice, this is not the place for you & shame on you! We're all God's beloved! I've lived here for one year & renewing my lease. I have a studio & plenty of room for myself & my boyfriend. More spacious than I thought it would be. Kitchen table with a leafs & benches & kitchen cart. Plenty of room to access the closet & it's huge for a studio. I've set up a small living area w/ 2 chairs & a small table between them & it's not cluttered at all with a bed & 2 night tables. The kitchen actually is a descent size. The small counter space is plenty for me. Coffee maker & spice rack & still room to prepare meals & a smaller microwave on top of the fridge. The dressing room is perfect for me. I have a dresser in the cubby hole & the shelves are perfect for bathroom towels, personal hygiene, so on & so forth & maintenance is good. The tub is a full size bathtub. I had a small bathroom faucet leak & it was fixed within 48 hours. Washers & Dryers work pretty good. Plowed & salted in winter & always parking available at my building. On a main bus route. Keep to yourself but be polite with "Hello's." If you don't want to see people walking around, take the back way in & out instead of driving up the main entrance. The 7/11 does have sales & great that it's open 24 hours & a Fox's Pizza! Yes, I saw 2 roaches, the exterminators were at my door within 48 hours. So what you have to empty out the kitchen & bathroom a couple times. It's worth it! So, I had a couple bugs for a little over a week. I have no roaches, bedbugs, no critters for over 9 months. I keep a clean home. Just remember, you get what you pay for & make the best of it. Create you're own comfort behind the closed door. I did! I was complimented on the set up of my place by family & friends. It's not an apt. to me, it's my home!
Awful place to live. The management is discriminatory. They don't take care of problems properly. Don't waste your time nor money.
I moved in back last September was great for a few months. Then started having problems with what we found out were bed bugs. I had to call them 4 times the 5th time I had to threaten to sue if they didn't take care of the problem. Wouldn't come to fix my stove told me i didn't know how to cook. Other then that the place is quiet and nice people are friendly and very neighborly. It has a 7 11 and a fox pizza/Chicken also an American Dollar store, and two other stores as well. It also had a convenient bus like 30-45 minutes to downtown, or you can go to the century 3 mall area. If you want the manager to get something fixed though good luck
The rent here is relatively cheap, which I think is good for the apartment you get. The apartments are not the top of the line when it comes to appliance or the bathroom or the carpets. These apartments would be good for a first apartment. The staff are very nice, when you need something repaired in the apartment maintenance arrive quickly to fix it.
