Parkview Hills is a beautiful neighborhood located about five miles southwest of Downtown Kalamazoo. True to its name, Parkview Hills is near several parks and golf courses including Kalamazoo Country Club and Asylum Lake Preserve. Carefully landscaped lakes and waterways snake through the community with fountains, dock-end gazebos, and swans. Nature-loving residents move here to enjoy natural beauty in every season. The neighborhood has large single-family houses and apartments available for rent. Since the neighborhood is located directly east of Western Michigan University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences and only three miles south of Western Michigan University’s main campus, Parkview is a great choice for students, faculty, and staff. Parkview Hills is mainly residential with only a few restaurants, but residents can travel north a few blocks to Stadium Drive for more options for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Property Ratings at Willow Creek Apartments
Since we moved here the office staff has been amazing Kaitlynn and Marcassea quick to help and really knowledgeable. For the times we've called all of our answers we're answered or they called us back with an answer the same day
Lived here for exactly 1 year and while I had a roof over my head, the cost of living here was not worth it. The building's storage room was "under construction" and unusable for residents (an amenity you pay for) for the entirety of the year. After recently moving out, the storage room is still unusable for residents. The sliding doors and windows were replaced in the middle of winter and took weeks of inspections. The indoor pool (also an amenity you pay for) has been under construction and unusable for years and does not seem to be anywhere close to being fixed. The laundry rooms are in very poor condition, only two of the washers worked and looked like they had never been cleaned. It also costs up to $10 to do one load of laundry. NOTICE you MUST return your keys prior to your move out date. They will try to charge you if you do not return your keys by your scheduled move-out date. This information is NOT listed in the lease, be aware of this if you move-out. Overall, these apartments are extremely overpriced for what you actually get.
This community is an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful community. The staff always greet you with a smile and are very accommodating to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean. They have a workout room and the pool area is wonderful. It could not be better located and is amidst a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools. It offers amenities that most communities do not. I am happy to call Willow Creek my home.
I absolutely love living here, it is so beautiful and peaceful. There is a lot to do and see in the community, so it's definitely worth the price. Not to mention, the office staff is super helpful and kind, I know it can get pretty busy in the office but they make sure to help with everything they can in a timely manner. The maintenance staff are all very knowledgeable and quick to get work done which I am very thankful for. Overall, Willow Creek is a wonderful place to live, I wouldn't choose anywhere else!
Lived here for a year and had many problems throughout the year. First off, the pictures are far from the quality of living here and everything is outdated and most of the cabinets & the bathroom mirror was chipped. We had mice in our stove and we ended up having to get mouse traps and killed 3 mice just while living here. Our bathroom ceiling would leak sometimes and when we tried calling maintenance there was no answer. All in all, way overpriced for what you get and on top of it you have to pay for gas/electric. I would look elsewhere.
Some of the leasing office staff might be good people, but the manager and one employer were the worst people I've ever had to deal with. I was rushed to reserve an apartment by a woman working in the leasing office on the basis that "we are completely remodeling this apartment, all new carpets, paint, and new appliances in the kitchen." I thought, great! Sign me up. Well, they did repaint and recarpet, because the whole apartment smelled like smoke and paint for about a month (found out the tenant before me was an old lady who smoked a lot). Now what about those new kitchen appliances? Not only were they not new, they were the lowest quality, oldest dishwasher, stove, and fridge I've ever seen in an apartment, everything was yellowed and sticky including the cabinets with tar from the smoke. So I went to the leasing office to ask what was up. I was called a liar, that they had never promised me new appliances, laughed at, and basically was told "what are you gonna do about it?" They knew they had me because I had just shown up with my moving van and had nowhere else to go. Over the months, I had met a few other people in the building and had brought up my moving in situation. Everyone basically said the same thing, "yeah we were treated like royalty when applying and then trash once we moved in." Sounds about right. The absolute best part about all of this is that when I moved out and two employees came to do my move out evaluation, the lady saw the kitchen and said "Oh my gosh! Are these really the kitchen appliances we put in here? They're all old and yellow. We need to replace these!" So I said jokingly "You better not replace all this now that I'm moving out." And the other guy goes "Haha don't worry, we won't." I honestly wish I were making up that interaction for dramatic effect.
The clubhouse is my favorite. The indoor pool is open all year and the hot tub is a nice addition. You can also rent the clubhouse for events, which is very convenient. The neighborhood is also peaceful, I never hear my neighbors and there is so much nature to enjoy.
I have kids that can't sit still, so this community has been an answer to prayers. The indoor pool keeps us busy all winter and in the summer we have the huge outdoor pool to play in. The park is great and we love running around on the trails!
I loved living here! I lived in a one bedroom one bath and a two bedroom one bath for a few years. It’s a great wooded area and lots of things to do I highly recommend it!
Maintenance was always speedy. The Apartments are clean and affordable.
Cats must be declawed really that's messed up I would never ever live in this messed up place ever!
I have lived here for year and half and can honestly say the Maintenance Staff is the worst I have ever encountered. I have yet to see anything get repaired properly everything get's rigged to work. The light's in the laundry room have been out for a month and reported to the office by multiple resident's. The painting skill's of the Maintenance Staff are just awful. I have scene trash lay in the same spot for week's before Maintenance pick's it up and half the time I pick it up because I'm tired of looking at it. The Property Manager need's to get out of her little cube and do a real property tour to see how awful the Building's and Ground's look !
While ths place is not for everyone its great for me. I enjoy the setting and the amenties. It is a older place but that is obvious when I searched and choose to live here. Its not all college for being so close to WMU. It has its own character and the space it has is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Maintentance responds quickly and is always buzzing around the place. I have recommended friends and family and they live here too and find its a great fit for them too. Cant beat the location, center to downtown, the west side or Portage.
I chose to live here because I kept on hearing how fabulous and nice and quiet it was- it looks and seems nice, until you actually move in. I've been here a month and I can't stand it. The apartments are generally pretty dilapidated and not worth the price. Maintenance is hit or miss, I'm still waiting for someone to respond to a request I put in a week ago. My electric bill is sky-high on the third floor because it's so stuffy up here- I chose to live on the third floor so I wouldn't have to listen to people above me stomping around, yet the buildings are so shoddily constructed the stomping of the people next door regularly shakes things off my walls. The security people never answer their telephone. If you like your apartment to reek like whatever the people below you are cooking/smoking, this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere before you get yourself stuck here like I did.
I checked several places before choosing Willow Creek. It's a little more expensive, sure, but you can't put a price on acres of woods, hills, trails, small lakes, and an abundance of wildlife. I was put off by the 70's-style buildings at first but was sold as soon as I saw how big the 1-BR unit is, with 16' deck overlooking the woods. The interior is dated #old cabinets, etc# but it's clean and everything works. Oh -- and it's worth the extra $ to get a carport space; otherwise parking can be a challenge.
It is a lil pricey, but what apartment complex isnt. this has a lot more to offer then the other.. has a indoor and outdoor pool.. a lot of trails and a work out room and a very nice clubhouse. a lot of nature and everyone that works there is very friendly..for how old they are, they are kept up well.
