The Belmont neighborhood encompasses part of the campus of the University of Dayton, and many of the university students live in houses and apartments in this area. Residents take County Road 48 to travel from Belmont to downtown Dayton, just a few miles northwest of Belmont.
Businesses line Watervliet Avenue, one of the neighborhood's main thoroughfares, as well as the streets between Watervliet Avenue and Wilmington Avenue. This gives residents easy access to a number of small grocery stores and neighborhood eateries. Residents hang out at Elsa's on the Border, a popular Mexican restaurant serving what's rumored to be the most popular margarita in Ohio.

Property Ratings at Wilmington Hi-Rise
Mice have been a problem for quite sometime. They live in the walls and travel to apartments where heating units pipes go in the walls. Sometimes I see them in hallways.
Custodian needs to do his job. He rarely leaves the first floor and the stairways haven't been done in months. Maintenance rarely leaves his office. Had to wait a week to have microwave replaced even though the new one had been in maintenance room. Security cameras don't work and sometimes a door will be open and strangers come in. Lights in parking lot need fixed.
Hallways and steps need cleaning. Carpet is bare thin Cigarette butts are all in the yard. I dont smoke so I shouldnt have to see or smell them. Outside Windows need to be cleaned of dead bugs everywhere.
