Hampton Bays is a cozy hamlet located within the Town of Southampton in eastern Long Island. The community is bordered by Great Peconic Bay on the north side and Shinnecock Bay on the south side, with a section of the barrier island on the ocean. Residents enjoy easy access to the water for boating, fishing, and generally lounging on the beaches during the summertime.
Commercial fishing is a major part of the local economy, with Hampton Bays operating as one of the state’s busiest fishing ports. The small downtown district along Montauk Highway is packed with locally-owned favorites ranging from the landmark Krieg’s Bakery to the mouth-watering deli at Scott’s to the unpretentious watering hole Doran’s. Many of the community’s neighborhoods are built in an upscale suburban style, with a broad range of apartments, houses, and condos making up the local rental market.

In addition, Dianne has a network of local trade workers and contractors that she can recommend when needed. A current resident of Hampton Bays with her husband and two daughters, Dianne is partial to the town for its waterfront restaurants, picturesque Ponquogue Beach, and access to three magnificent bays for swimming, fishing and boating—Tiana and Shinnecock on the south side of town and Peconic on the north. She loves her hometown and all it has to offer.
