The Financial District sits at the tip of Lower Manhattan. It is the oldest part of New York City – the city was created here in 1624. Known as the world’s center of finance, the district is home to the largest stock exchange in the world, the New York Stock Exchange. Sometimes referred to as FiDi, the district contains a variety of high-end restaurants and bars along Wall Street, popular hangouts for those working at the exchange.
Many landmarks are in the Financial District, including One World Trade Center, The National 9/11 Memorial and Museum, the Ellis Island National Immigration Museum, the Castle Clinton National Monument, and Battery Park. National Historic Sites include St. Paul’s Chapel, founded in 1766 and visited by George Washington after his inauguration in 1789. Stone Street, one of New York’s oldest streets, is a historic district, first paved in 1658.
Because so much is happening in the Financial District, it is packed with residents, workers, and tourists.

The staff at 10 Hanover are incredible. It was such an easy move in and they were so attentive to the needs of me and my roommate. Carl, Raj, and Ramon were all fantastic!

Just horrible. Management only wants your money and do not care if things are broken and not working. Elevators don’t work, maintenance requests ignored and every email sent is ignored. Take your money elsewhere

Management is terrible they don't care about you and will raise the rent 40% each year.
Management is great until you sign the lease. And then they will squeeze every penny out of you with random charges every month. They have no explanation for the way they divide the utility bills and it seems as if we are paying for the many Air BNBers who stay while on vacation. The doormen do not do their job. The appliances in the apartment are outdated. Look elsewhere.
My apartment at 10 Hanover Square is awesome. It has giant windows, a kitchen with all new appliances and granite countertops, AND a washer/dryer. The building staff is nice, friendly, and always helpful! The location is amazing too, with Stone Street (which is full of bars/ restaurants) just a minute away and the best bagel's in NYC (Leo's Bagels) down the block.
Amazing location, close to a number of subway lines that serve both the East and West side (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, R, A, C), Stone Street (filled with amazing bars and restaurants), Pure Barre studio around the corner, gym in the building (with an awesome rock climbing wall), and Duane Reade (pharmacy/market) across the street! Amazing views, and rooftop with grills (perfect for low key get-togethers). Building staff does amazing at keeping this place running smooth too. It's my oasis in the chaos that is New York City.
