Property Ratings at 10 Landing Lane
Lived here for almost two years. Recently someone moved in on my floor who is absolutely terrible. He plays loud tv and music at all hours of the night. The walls are so thin that it keeps me awake. Management does not enforce quiet hours. This place is going down hill quickly. Do not move in here.
Great location. Nearby park is literally in back yard. Building and grounds are attractive and well-maintained. Staff is very professional. Management is attuned and responsive to the needs of its tenants.
I've lived in this building for nearly 6 years. The direct access to the park, the quiet and friendly residents and the helpful management team continue to make this building a wonderful place to live.
After nearly an entire year, I can say that my experience living at 10 Landing Lane Apartments has been wonderful. I would easily consider buying a condominium here if it was an option. The building and surrounding grounds are well maintained and kept clean by the tireless efforts of the building manager, Olivia, and the custodial staff. The staff live on site and are extremely responsive to any issues, not just for work but as friendly neighbors. Many of the inhabitants work in healthcare, such as at RWJUH or St. Peter’s Hospital, or are Rutgers employees. The community spirit is positive and responsible. Outside the communal laundry room, for instance, we have a nice unofficial community sharing spot where people can leave unwanted belongings for others to use. Aside from an occasional door slam or one late-night furniture shuffle, noise has never been an issue for me. I have never heard loud music or a party on my floor. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, I regularly find signs of the staff’s hard work. For instance, just in the last few months, the parking lot has seen potholes filled, new signs placed, and parking lines freshly repainted. The elevator floors were recently refurbished, and extra shelving has been installed in the mail area to accommodate overflow packages. The building was constructed in 1964 but is doing great for its age. The water pipes have recently undergone much-needed repairs and maintenance. One of the building’s perks is a central water heating system that is free of charge, meaning no worries about hot showers or staying cozy during winter. For cooling, apartments have window-mounted air conditioners, which are popular perches for small birds. For park lovers, this location is hard to beat. The property is adjacent to Buccleuch Park and a stone’s throw from the Landing Lane Bridge that crosses the Raritan River into Johnson Park, which has an animal haven/menagerie, among many other features. In the summertime, fireflies and small herds of deer are frequently spotted. What else can I say? I highly recommend this place!
I moved into the building in December and I love my apartment! The view is amazing, the sunsets are phenomenal, large closets, surrounded by parks & rent is reasonable. The building manager and staff are attentive and keep the building clean. I highly recommend 10 Landing Lane!
There are a lot of problems that should be fixed. The main entrance door is always propped open, allowing anyone inside. The stairwell doors, apartment doors and garbage chute get slammed all the time and will wake you up. The hallways occasionally smell like weed. The water for the entire building is constantly being shut off with very little warning, you need to go in the elevator to see the notice. Management, please fix this or I cannot wait to move out of here.
Kreigman and Smith does not value long time tenants, especially during a pandemic. If you live their longer than 5 years, make sure you get your apartment painted and new carpet, because they won’t take care of it otherwise. Then they will take money from your security deposit because an apartment was lived in for years. There are nicer places for the same money.
Property Manager at 10 Landing Lane, Responded To This Review
Hi “Sam. A” - you posted the SAME EXACT review a week ago. While we appreciate your originality and persistence, this unfortunately is still not enough to pay for the ridiculous condition of your old apartment. Again, we are obviously listening - it’s been a week and our office is still waiting to hear from you.
It's been nearly a month my Husband and I moved here. Of many apartments we searched, we zeroed on this and I am glad we did. Spacious, well maintained apartments with responsive maintenance team. Special mention to on-site Manager Valerie, she is very warm and accommodating. We had some move in date issues and she worked with us closely to choose the right home. She is responsive to your queries and very impressive. Only thing is that the house we saw was a new apartment and the one which was available for us is a bit old but nevertheless , we are loving our new Home.
I moved into this building a few months ago and I really love it. The location is great- big park next door, only a few miles from Rutgers campus and town, and only a short trip to New York or Philly. Living here has been extemely peaceful- the neighbors are quiet and apartments have thick walls, the parking is easy and free. The apartment building is cleaned often and is well maintained. Overall I would definitely recommend it.
