Renting in Downtown Lancaster puts locals right in the middle of the city’s central business district. This lively neighborhood houses an array of businesses, affordable apartments, and sources of entertainment around its perimeter. The Lancaster Central Market, the oldest continuously operating market in the country, resides in a historic brick building in downtown. Locals buy homemade preserves, Pennsylvania Dutch sausage, farm fresh eggs, and other Amish country specialties at the market. Local pubs, restaurants, and theaters thrive in this district, like Fulton Theatre, which hosts a packed season of plays and musicals every year. Downtown Lancaster is surrounded by scenic, family-friendly suburbs and city parks like Lancaster County Central Park.

Property Ratings at 10 Prince
Positives first - the location is amazing and if you get a parking spot that’s a major plus. I lived on the 9th floor and had an amazing view of the city. Negatives - They handled Covid cleanliness so poorly (if they handled it at all), made me let people into my apartment to do non emergency paint jobs during the Covid situation. They were not compassionate at all to those who lost their jobs because of the pandemic. They let people in my apartment several times without telling me, and then lied about it (but I had a camera). They say there is shared laundry facilities, but really the machines hardly ever work and there are only 4 washing machines for 75 units. The elevator needs help (yes, they bought a building with a crappy one, not their fault) but it stops working often. If you do decide to live here GET THE CARD TO SWIPE IN. The app to let you in is terrible and if it’s outside of office hours you will have to wait up to an hour for someone to help you. Also, any emergency calls outside of office hours go to a call center in North Carolina. They can’t do anything for you, and all they do is email the office who won’t see it until they come in. So, don’t have any emergencies. They hire some of the cheapest people to do their renovations. The halls are full of cursing and banging because they won’t close the door while they work and they were asked several times to do so. It takes several days for any emails to be responded to, and they are only open during normal work hours so if you have an office job it will be hard to reach them. I had often called at the end of the day because of my schedule and the phone was not answered even though there was still an hour left in their day. Overall - TERRIBLE customer service and you are just income for them.
