Boston's hottest neighborhood may surprise you -- it's Seaport! Once an industrial area of 100-year-old warehouses and parking lots, Seaport has transformed into Boston's trendiest neighborhood. With its fantastic harbor views and proximity to Downtown Boston -- less than a mile northwest -- this is downtown without the downtown price tag. Seaport is home to some of Boston's best restaurants, like Rosa Mexicano and Strega Waterfront. Harbor Way provides a place to enjoy a sunny day and perhaps hop aboard the Spirit of Boston for a lunch or dinner cruise around Boston Harbor.
Seaport is home to artists, entrepreneurs, and musicians. It has a strong sense of community and pride. It is also close to everything -- Boston Logan International Airport is across the harbor, M Street Beach is on the south end, and the historic Fort Point, the University of Massachusetts Boston, Boston Common, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace are all close by.

Property Ratings at 100 Pier 4
In my opinion, the building management truly does not care about residents or health and safety issues that are raised. I've experience several repair issues, including one repair issues that directly impacts my health and safety. It is still not fixed despite months of pleas to management to fix.

Dated, horrible management, constant chaos and issues. Furthest thing from luxury. 0/10
Property Manager at 100 Pier 4, Responded To This Review
Hello, We are sorry to hear you have been unhappy in our community. We try our best to make the resident experience as enjoyable as possible when someone decides to call one of our communities home. Although there may be issues over the course of a resident’s lease, we investigate these issues thoroughly to ensure they are taken care of in a complete and professional manner. Our goal is to provide exceptional housing accommodations and customer service. We are sad to read we missed the mark. Thank you for your review. Kind Regards, Madison
For the price there are better options in Seaport. Construction on all sides of the building, except the driveway side and they operate over night frequently. Pedestrians congregate in the lobby and hangout in the lounge. No service elevator so when people are moving in/out elevators take forever. The maintenance staff is nice, building management is not.
I've lived in multiple Seaport buildings and 100 Pier 4 is the worst, by far. The walls are very thin, the air conditioning system is ancient, the construction noise is unbearable, and management is terrible. Don (the leasing agent) lied to me about how bad the construction noise would be before I signed my lease and is terrible at responding to emails. Other buildings in the area worked with their tennats on a compromise during Covid if they wanted / needed to move out - 100 Pier 4 will give you no wiggle room at all on your lease. I'm counting down the days until my lease is up and I plan to move to another seaport building ASAP. I will never consider a UDR building again.
Although it is located in the best part of the Seaport, it is not very safe. Anyone can let themselves into Pier 4 and we allow the public to use our main floor bathrooms. Homeless people are often found laying on the furniture in the lobby. The building allows RE agents to let prospective tenants look at staged apartments themselves (without the agent). They wander the building all by themselves, which is not safe. I used to find random people walking the halls often. The building also allows for Air B&B, so again, random people walking throughout the hallways. The building almost felt more like a college dormitory than it did a home. I would definitely recommend looking at other apartment buildings before settling down here.
