Amazing! Very private, and people prefer keeping to themselves, yet don't really get upset if others are having fun. LOVE that! Enough sense of community, yet extremely respectful of privacy.
I have been living here since 2020 and extremely disappointed with the overall aesthetics. It’s gone downhill. I’m also not the only person that feels this way as I often run into other tenants who could not agree more.
So far so good! Anything that needed to be fixed was fixed expeditiously! Beautiful building with nice amenities and GREAT location.
1000 Grand has been great so far. The community is clean and welcoming and the staff are very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
The office and maintenance staff are professional and quickly respond any requests and concerns. Amenities are excellent and keeped clean and functional.
The building and common areas are very nice. The exercise room is great. I love it here. My only real gripe is that the units don't come with screens on the windows so, occasionally, I get bugs coming in when I try to get some fresh air in my apartment.
For the most part, it feels good walking into the lobby. It always looks pretty clean and it's a good place to hang out/ The fountains add a lot of nice ambiance in addition to the sunlight. The pool area is really relaxing when people are being considerate, as well as the rooftop decks. The apartments have a good modern look to them with pretty thick walls. It makes things quiet excluding neighbors banging on walls. One thing I would love would be better guest parking, as DTLA is pretty tough to park. So I make it tricky for visitors. Overall, its a really nice community and a great location downtown.
DO NOT LIVE HERE! YOUR CAR WILL BE VANDALIZED AND THEY WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT! This place has 0 security in the garage and NO SECURITY cameras yet they tout themselves as a "Luxury Community". I've now had to pay $3,000 in deductibles for THREE separate incidents in which my car has been broken into and the only response the Windsor team gives me is "Make a police report". How about you take some of the literal MILLIONS you're making and add security cameras into the garage and have regular security guards patrolling the area so this CAN'T HAPPEN?? Absolutely disgusting.
It’s a nice and cozy apartment with enogh light, but the windows are fixed and not able to open. It's a bit challenging for air conditioning.

1000 Grand has great apartments, all facilities are well maintained
I am happy with the layout of my 560sqft studio. My only complaint is that I am not sleeping well t night because the ceiling and floor above me are so thin I can hear and feel every step and creaking sound above me all the time. This is the reason why I know I need to move. Also when I moved the office staff was very helpful and kind.
The apartment charges a few hundred dollars on top of the rent for each unit and there is no available parking, basically they over sold the spaces and it’s up to tenants to find parking space which is frustrating issue
Maintenance comes along pretty promptly to do repairs or fixes. Very professional and courteous.
I have lived here for almost 2 years and the housekeeping and maintenance has gone from outstanding to average/poor. Seems things are not being maintained as in the past. Telling the office staff seems wastful alot of the time and it takes longer for request thru online portal takes longer to respond. Does maintenance/housekeeping survey the common areas anymore?

All members of the leasing office were very pleasant and helpful when I moved in.
Maintenance staff is great. I only have bad things to say about my interactions with the leasing staff. Their lack of transparency or willingness to help with simple situations has been the most frustrating living experience to date. I am counting down the days until my lease is over.
Oscar is such a helpful asset to the maintenance team. He’s always so nice and has become a great friend of ours in the apartment! The friendliness and expertise the team has allows us to be comfortable and trust we are always in good hands.
The maintenance staff is great. The office staff is polite but certain of them could be more knowledgeable. The building is clean and comfortable to live at. The garage security is not good. The soundproofing is poor. The plumbing is subpar.
I moved to 1000 Grand by Windsor 10 months ago and Ive really enjoyed living here. The building is really clean, staff is really friendly and helpful, and amenities are really nice. Location is amazing, walking distance to great restaurants and bars, coffee shops, entertainment, shopping centers and landmarks.

I like the apartment and the staff. I would have liked more lighting under the overhead cabinetry in the kitchen, illuminating the sink. The common areas really need to be cleaner, the floors, including the elevator floors. The carpet in the halls seems to go weeks without vacuuming. There is a constant overflow of trash in the trash cans that are positioned near the garage elevators. I've gone downstairs to speak with someone on several occasions, during business hours and the office is not occupied.
The facilities and office staff and maintenance staff are excellent. They do a great job.Enjoy the various group events in the building and nearby area.
The whole staff at 1000 Grand is friendly and responsive. The detailed care they put into their work creates such a positive place to live, whether it's putting on a holiday event or communicating updates during the pandemic. The security, maintenance, and cleaning at 1000 Grand is also excellent.
I love living here, balcony/bathroom/closet/living areas are very large, appliances are modern, Floor plans are better then anything else you'll get in the DTLA area. The area itself is very safe and friendly.
The maintenance staff and the leasing office ladies are second to none. Living here during the pandemic has certainly been a unique time but the friendliness of the staff has been a constant positive in my everyday. Simply cant thank them enough for being friendly with me, as well as my dog!

Amazing staff, from the ladies in the office to the maintenance crew and the lady who helps to keep the building clean, all go above and beyond. It a great building to live in but the staff are what put it above other building. It literally took only ten minutes for the maintenance man to come and take care of our fire alarm yesterday.
I moved here in November and have loved my entire experience as a resident at 1000 Grand by Windsor! From the friendly staff, to the monthly puppy shares; and lets not leave out the fitness events they are finding ways to schedule! Covid-19 has been rough on many but here at 1000 Grand they have truly done their part to keep all residents safe. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to move in the near future!
Horrible noise insulation. You can hear peoples footsteps walking above your unit. You can hear any sound in the alley. Glass is poor probably single pane. You should be able to enjoy the peace and quiet of your home but you cannot at all here.
I find it difficult sometimes to call the office, even during office hours. Sometimes voice messages would be left unanswered as well. Other than that, the team is generally responsive and accommodating.
Under the unique circumstances we are all living under, I think we are all making efforts to make our experience as positive as possible.
I love my apartment. My only gripe is that I was told I would have a Balcony and had ordered balcony furniture. To my surprise, on move-in day I did not have a balcony. Otherwise, I enjoy my apartment. I wish there was additional lighting closer to the window since I am blocked by the large pot in the pool area and I don't have a balcony/ terrace area.

Ive really enjoyed living at 1000 s grand, its just difficult to justify the rent when basically all the amenities have been closed since we moved in (we moved in a week before lockdown) and theres been so much rioting and chaos outside our front window. I do love the area and my apartment itself, and if we were able to negotiate the rental rate I would absolutely stay here as long as possible.
Anasha and the team in the leasing office are amazing. They go above and beyond to ensure that any question or issue is addressed to the best of their ability. I love where I live and feel so fortunate to be a member of the community.
It looks good but it is not anything that you expect once you move in. Parking is terrible, there is a gruesome scent in front of the building from people not picking up after their animals, management should pressure wash throughout the day. Several cars have been vandalized and stolen in a matter of 6 months. The package and bike room are not secure and have been broken into on several occasions. Tenets are charged huge rental prices to live in a unsafe building. Management will lie straight to your face to ensure you they are improving security and restricting the garage entry and exit but that is not true. The building glitters but it is a far cry from gold!
