Property Ratings at 1010 on the Lake
We lived here for a year and came across of a few issues. the concrete plant creates a lot of noise and dust in and outside of the apartments. The property increasingly got dirtier as the year went on with a lot of cigarette butts, dog poop that wasn't cleaned up by owners, and other trash in the grass. Packages would always go missing on a regular basis. No solution was every brought up other than to be home when it's meant to be delivered or put more instructions in for the drivers. Many of the packages were actually stolen and management didn't seem to care. Majority of the apartment had damages including the appliances, floors, and cabinets. The washer and dryer that was included came very dirty and had issues through out our time. Most of the cabinets and the inside finish ripped off. They do not include a shower curtain rod. If you have medical issues that are trigger by smokers or dust, look else where. While they say they are a smoke free property, smokers are everywhere and don't hide it or, will walk to the waters edge/192nd to smoke. Bugs tended to get into the apartments and my dog got ticks from just walking around the property. Overall, management is tricky to get in touch with, unless they are looking for something from you. Although maintenance, was one of the highlights of our stay, both guys were great and always willing to help fix problems. The lake is beautiful and does have amazing sunsets but, I would not recommend go for a swim in it. For the price, we found a better locations with way more amenities and better conditions.
It has become part of us now. Love everything about this tiny apartment. It s always quiet and calm. You get everything for what you pay. This apartment has set a quality standard for us, now that we are moving to different city we end up comparing every apartment we see with this one.
I love my apartment with a view of Lawrence Youngman Lake. The property manager responds to emails expediently and maintenance is exceptionally quick to resolve any issue within 24 hours (most requests are resolved within a couple of hours). The only downside is my building does not have an elevator, which makes carrying groceries up to the second or third floor a challenge, but the neighbors are very friendly and always willing to help out and hold the door open for you.
Thank you 1010 on the Lake for providing West Omaha with outstanding lakefront living! My dog and I are in paradise. We wake up refreshed with sounds of wildlife and like minded animal friendly neighbors each morning. We moved from a 5,000 sqft home to this very stylish apartment with all the beautiful features of a luxury home, 9 ft. cutout ceilings, granite countertops, bamboo flooring, and windows galore. The ONLY difference is you have at your fingertip maintenance if anything should need attention. Instead of paying for a plumber or electrician, you simply put your request in and get immediate attention at NO CHARGE!!! The staff are outstanding, and strive to provide the community with diversity while maintaining peace. Thanks again 1010 on the Lake, your just what I needed!
I have been here for two years, and just signed on for a third. The apartments are gorgeous and very unique with high ceilings and open floor plans, and the kitchen has a lot of cupboard space with stainless steel appliances. I hear my upstairs neighbor often, but otherwise my building is very quiet. I have never experienced issues with theft, car damage, or feelings of insecurity and parking is rarely a problem. The property is always clean and well maintained. The apartment complex utilizes the PooPrints DNA system so dog waste is seldom a problem (compared to previous apartment experiences), and the whole property is non-smoking which also helps keep the property clean. Grounds workers are outside CONSTANTLY maintaining the property and are really kind. The location really can't be beat and being by the lake is great in the summer, especially since 1010 provides kayaks and paddle boards for resident use. I often take my dog behind the lake to play fetch in the open field which is so fun. No where is perfect, but if the price is doable then I'd recommend 1010 out for sure!
My dog and I are not as young as we used to be, and we love living here, with handicap access to a beautiful courtyard, accessible parking and sidewalks to the lakeside and gorgeous views of nature. The grounds are so pleasant and well kept, and there is a fun atmosphere around the hot tub, outdoor grill and lake activities, stemming from the way the community is handled by the administration. Many members of the community are young professionals, and many are dogs and cats, but we all live together in harmony and respect. Inside, the apartments are well finished, well maintained, and conveniently planned out. Overall it's a joy to live here!
I love this apartment. The little community and the hot tubs and the lakes are amazing
While these apartments don't have a lot of traditional amenities like a gym or pool, you do get access to kayaks and more to use on the lake directly behind the complex. There are attached and detached garages and a large tornado shelter in the basement. They're also brand new apartments, which means you have updated appliances and contemporary finishes that work with modern or traditional decor. The location, right off of Dodge, makes it super easy to get downtown in about 20-30 minutes or get to Lincoln in 45 minutes. Plus, the staff is very helpful and willing to work with you for move-in and move-out times. The only downside might be the price, which is a little high for the area, but overall, I had a great experience.
I never thought I'd find an apartment with a lake view but that's exactly what I found at 1010 on the Lake. I enjoy living here more than I could have imagined. Bamboo floors, stainless steel appliances, front load HE washer and dryer were included. Wall colors are hip and neutral- bedrooms and closets are spacious. I'm fortunate enough to have an attached garage which is a godsend in the winter. They are even nice enough to shovel my "driveway" for me when the snow piles up. Being brand new, there are some growing pains but one of the things I like about the management at this complex is that they seem truly interested in making sure that the lifestyle here is deserving of the "luxury living" description and they are prompt at responding to issues and getting things resolved in a timely manner. One of my favorite things about this apartment is the japanese bidet. To have one in an apartment is beyond fantastic! Additionally, the Honeywell Lyric smart thermostats are great because you can manage heating/cooling with a smartphone from anywhere, plus the USB wall outlets in the kitchen and bedrooms are super convenient. Again, lots of details and things I never would have expected to find in an apartment- it's what sealed the deal for me. 1010 is pet-friendly- lots of people with dogs here and it's nice that there are bags and receptacles on the common grounds for pet waste pickup/disposal. It's relatively quiet for the most part. The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there isn't a way to receive guests, period. There aren't any doorbells/intercoms etc which seems strange for an apartment complex that seems to have thought of everything. If you have guests, food deliveries etc. there is no way for people to access the building or you unless they can call you (which is often a problem as some cell phone carriers don't have signals this far west in Omaha) or if you give them a key (bad for security). I keep hoping they will change this. It would make this place perfect. I have a unit that overlooks the lake which I happen to love. The complex has kayaks and paddleboards for residents to use and recently installed a dock for easy lake access. There are also common areas with fire pits and grills & community garden plots for rent. My friends and family love to visit. Yes, it's expensive but in my opinion, worth the expense to have a high-end, modern and energy efficient living space with a great view.
The builder of this apartment complex has gone above and beyond when it comes to style and comfort. This is the quietest apartment I've ever lived in and I'm on the second floor. Beautiful interior, fabulous location. Absolutely love it.,
