About This Property
This is a 600+ square feet studio-style space over the garage (former stable) of an 1887 Old Louisville home. As an Airbnb for nine months (until we switched to hosting travel nurses at the start of the pandemic) it's received all five star reviews and was featured in a House Tour on design site Apartment Therapy. Please check out the reviews at airbnb.com/h/littlecarriagehouse. I'm one of Airbnb's longest tenured superhosts with all five stars for the last four years at our other Airbnb (airbnb.com/h/vertigolouisville). You get your own four walls and private entrance with individually controlled heat and window unit ACs; a queen sized Tuft & Needle mattress with high quality linens; smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime; your own wifi; full size stove and a fridge; cookware and knives; coffeepot and toaster; dishes and basic cooking staples; a dining table that can double as work desk; and a small private balcony overlooking our courtyard (which you're welcome to use). *You should know:* -You will climb one flight of exterior stairs to access the apartment. -It's strictly smoke free inside and out. -We have two friendly dogs. We discourage extraneous barking but you will certainly hear them from time to time so this is not recommended for anyone on a night shift who needs to sleep in the daytime. This is also an urban area with the city soundtrack that that entails. -There is not a dishwasher or laundry. There is a drop off laundry service in the neighborhood (one buck a pound to wash, dry, and fold!). -The bathroom is quite small with a very small shower. -We use the garage below so you will hear the door opening and closing when we get or park the car. **Price: $1500 ** per month includes furnishings, electric/gas, water, and wifi (with basic cable available through an app on the smart TV). We take rent through the Apartments.com platform. Deposit: $600 *Location:* Old Louisville, a historic urban neighborhood just south of downtown. There's a beautiful, large, Olmsted-designed park a few blocks away and we're super close to many points of interest (in various stages of opening due to the pandemic). This is the largest concentration of Victorian homes in the country. Transportation and parking: -Street parking is generally readily available (we're on a corner, which helps) -A LouVelo bike share is around the corner, and the TARC bus line stops across the street. -Norton Hospital is a seven minute drive, U of L Hospital, eight. -Driving distance: a large grocery store (Kroger) 10-12 minutes; the Logan Street urban public market, 5 minutes; the Highlands neighborhood 10 minutes; Trader Joe's/Whole Foods/the malls/suburbs, 18 minutes; downtown/the riverfront 11 minutes. *Pets:* No cats, sorry. We will consider one dog if he/she is crate-trained, well-socialized with people and other dogs, and is not a nuisance barker. Your pup must be able to climb the stairs (for everyone's safety you can't carry them). The pet relief space is a small astro turf area inside our enclosed courtyard (and must be picked up every time), or a grass lot a block away. We'd require pet references and proof of vaccinations and flea/tick preventative. A one-time pet cleaning fee of $50 is added. Questions? Let me know! We're avid travelers ourselves and are happy to meet you and give you the lay of the land and suggestions, or will also happily respect your privacy.

Limerick is a historic preservation district situated a scant two miles southwest of downtown Louisville. Condo and apartment rentals heavily populate the east side of the neighborhood along the 6th Street area. College students walk or bike to Spalding University and Jefferson Community and Technical College, which lie a half mile apart.
Locals sip their java, enjoy free Wi-Fi and meet with their two- and-four-legged friends at the upbeat Smokey's Bean coffee shop. For a taste of nostalgia, slip on down to Dizzy Whizz, the curb-service drive-in serving the WhizzBurger since 1947. Locals enjoy four-course and six-course fine dining at 610 Magnolia, where fine wines and Kentucky bourbons complement the menus.
