Living room, one of the bedrooms and the bathroom are on the first floor of the unit. Upstairs is the kitchen (which is odd we'll admit but you get used to it!) along with another bedroom and a unique bonus room that has been used for everything from a home office to a mancave to an in-home yoga studio! Located in Wilkes-Barre's Rolling Mill Hill section, one block from the new playground. Easy on-street parking in front of the house. Local landlord. Utilities by tenant, heat is natural gas. Renters insurance is required for all leases. We are pet friendly, with conditions: no more than 3, 4 if they're small. Cats must be spayed/neutered. Certain dog breeds not allowed by insurance. Additional pet rent: $25 per month per pet for cats and small dogs (30 pounds or less) $50 for dogs over 30 pounds plus additional liability on the renters insurance policy. The city leadership in Wilkes-Barre has worked hard to promote a “walk-to-everything” lifestyle, with a general layout that is very friendly to pedestrians. This is particularly noticeable around the downtown area, where apartments, businesses, and public parks are all easily accessible on foot.
Just behind King’s College, River Common offers walking trails, a boat launch, an amphitheater, and plenty of space to just relax and enjoy a view of the Susquehanna River. The Public Square serves as the venue for outdoor events throughout the year, from the weekly farmer’s market to the annual Fine Arts Fiesta. Mohegan Sun Arena hosts larger sports and entertainment events regularly.
The ski areas and state parks surrounding Wilkes-Barre are very popular with tourists, and residents get to enjoy full access to these natural attractions year-round.
