Property Ratings at 10X Boca Raton
We moved in 3 years ago. The TV’s in the gym have NEVER WORKED. We’ve asked for repairs at least 20 times but they give lame excuses. The Smith machine in the gym has been broken for 2 months, again they keep saying it’s going to get fixed???? The carpets in the hallways are totally gross. They smell bad and can no longer be cleaned as they are beyond needing replacing. Security here is a problem as many strangers use the gym etc. They do a very poor job of maintaining the condition of this building for the amount of rent we are paying. Building management makes empty promises about repairs. I do not recommend this complex for the price you will pay.
Do not move in Unless you want extremely poor costumer service and huge rent. You will not be able to use anything in the building since every amenity is broken and they have absolutely NO will to fix anything!!!!! No wifi in a building so can’t work in office room ! No massage rooms open ever as they are rented to someone else, no hair salone , no steam room as it broken for at least ALWAYS.No game room -it hasn't been operating for at least a year.No theater as its no wifi ( 2 months ).Fitness center as dirty as LA fitness and don't matter how many times you tell them they will just look at you like you crazy and do nothing about it. Aerobics room has Tv - doesn't work! You will not get your Mail as it’s getting lost or stolen or if you do it will take week to find it !!!! Don’t try to go to the office they will have Absolutely no interested to hearing anything you have to say but Pretend they don't know about ir and act surprised or will blame previous management company for everything. Even if you do get an apartment rented try to make Sure you actually have it available as they can call you day before you move in and say “I’m sorry we made a mistake and we have no availability for you “ And yes one last thing Believe me when I say this building full of “weed smell “ ! You will feel as you waking In to a field !!!! And when I addressed it they said we can’t smell it and can’t find who smokes it So before you try to call and get lucky if they answer the phone or be kind enough to show you the building think if it’s worth it ! It is amazing location and beautiful apartments but that’s all you going to get !! Do not expect luxury costumer service
The management team is horrible here. Electric cars parked in electric spots (where no chargers were available) were booted without notice and told booting was allowed because they weren't charging, even though nothing in the leases said they must be charging - it makes no sense because there are two EV spots per charger, it's not like someone parked there is preventing another person from charging. Also, management is usually quick to blame any communication issue on a renter not reading the notice emails, even when the renters don't receive them. Overall, the management team needs to be replaced or they need better training in hospitality. I understand that the customer isn't always right, but when problems come up, management should be able to step back and consider whether there was a mistake on their side rather than just blaming someone else.
I have been living here for the last 8 months.I love it here and would live no place else.This is a resort style apartment complex. they have multiple amenities and everything is available 24/7, The gym,/fitness area , the sauna and steam room and cool pool, the pool table, foose ball table and lounge area as long as you are a resident and have a fab. The pool/hot tub area does close around 8 pm to respect the residents who live in proximity of the area . Altis has had multiple get together's, Brunch at the pool, Winedown Wednesdays and others at our local restaurants at Park place which is walking distance. You can meet your neighbors if you want too. the residents are a mix of all ages all have been very friendly and have made a lot new friends. The amenities are 2nd to none here. There is a cleaning crew are here everyday cleaning the halls and the elevators. I know there are 3 elevators in the building and one for moving in. This is no different that the condo I used to live that had 22 floors years ago. Altis is a dog friendly environment that has a dog park and multiple places to walk your dog and you clean up after your dog.. The office staff has always been very friendly. I have always lived by the mantra be nice and they will be nice back and it has always worked for me.Maintenance ,if something is wrong you can let them know via the website or go downstairs and inform them. I have clogged a drain someone has always responded promptly. I had a freezer problem and it was handled the same day. I moved from my own home that had 5 bedrooms and was in a beautiful community. I understand it is different living in an apartment than a house, I guess some people can handle it better. I checked out all other apartments in the area.I made the right choice moving here. I am a Happy tenant.
Everyone and anyone interested in moving to Altis. Do not say you have not been warned. All the 5 star reviews are fake. The Altis is such a disappointment. Pay close attention to the walls, elevators, lobby furniture, ETC.... God help us get thru our lease without losing our minds. Please Please Please do yourself a favor do not let the beauty of the exterior fool you. Unimaginable how depressed you will be after moving in. Management and staff can care less about you as a resident, once you have signed the lease. The North side elevator is horrible.. The South side elevator smells like an animal shelter, as well as the hallways when it rains or just drizzles The pool area is beautiful good luck enjoying it on 3 day weekend or holiday. They always find a reason to shut it down. Thanks to the respectable tenants having sex in the cabanas they shut the pool area down 8pm on the dot. Only one guest is allowed poolside, so date lunch or BBQ with friends. Cancel it. The pool table requires you to give the front desk your Driver's license in order to get pool sticks. Good luck trying enjoy any of its amenities. Again pay close attention to the walls and elevators during your tour. The list can go on and on.. Enjoy your Tour
Altis looked amazing from the outside which is why I was so excited to move in. After moving in I realized what a joke this community is... 1. pool closes at 8 you can't have more than 2 guests at a time 2. You can't reserve outdoor kitchen for any amount of time even though when you go on tour they say you can. 3. The NOISE is crazy I can hear my neighbor ALL day stomping back and forth and talking on the balcony with the phone on speaker like we care about his conversation. 4. They will put a boot on your car even when it's in the correct spot and registered. 5. Office staff except for one (Charmain) is extremely rude asking if you live in the building when you come down to ask a simple question. If I didn't live here would I be asking about RESIDENT related questions. 6. Walls and carpets are disgusting 7. It stinks of wet dogs in the halls 8. You can't play pool after 11pm when security leaves as if we are going to steal the pool sticks 9. I'm NOT renewing my lease 10. STAY AWAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!
First the good--The building is beautiful and has a resort feel to it. You will be “wowed” when you tour it. Joanna and Dylan are both great. They have always provided great service and I appreciate their hard work. All is not great at the Altis however. A few things they won’t tell you when you tour. **Move in is rough. They have one elevator at the south end which you “reserve” Altho their definition of reserve is not what you would expect. Other people will use it with you and it is very slow. It is the only elevator on the north end so people have to walk a long distance to use another one and they will make your movers wait. Your movers will be very unhappy. I hear them complaining all the time. And if you are moving yourself be prepared to be very frustrated with the elevator situation. IMO the designer of the building wasn’t thinking about move ins or they are just cheap and didn’t want to put two elevators in. **Fire Alarms. They do an annual test which consists of TWO FULL days of non stop fire alarms because they have one person go into every single unit to make sure the alarm can be heard. If you work from home be prepared to leave for two days and don’t forget about your pets. The alarm is so loud and will be painful to your pets sensitive ears. ***They are obsessed with parking. You must register your GUESTS car. You need the make, model and license plate. They tell you it is easy and done through an app. It isn’t really an app, its a website, and just a pain to deal with when it is working properly, which hasn’t been often recently. IMO very unnecessary as there is plenty of parking. **Rules Rules Rules. If you like silly rules as a result of people complaining, this is the place for you. Two of my personal favorite “rules” 1. You are not allowed to put a note on someone's car if they are parked in your parking space. 2. Men are not allowed to be shirtless at any time. This means walking from the pool to your apartment without a shirt is a no no. **Pool Hours. I was told the pool hours are sun up to sun down by the property director Jaynee. Therefore when it gets dark at 6 it makes using the pool during the week useless for people who have a normal 9-5 job. They don't tell you that when they give you the tour. Your rent includes use of the pool but they make the hours such that working tenants can't use. The older retired folks will be fine tho and it seems that is really who they cater to at the Altis.
Do not let the facade deceive you. The garbage room is beyond disgusting. WiFi very subpar in common areas. Way overpriced.
A bomb threat last weekend that they did not tell residents about. Cops came and I happened to walk into the lobby. Five fire alarms in two weeks. Garbage on fire more than once. Coffee machine breaks down. Printer out of toner. Clubhouse TV malfunctions. Parking rules not enforced. Come on, people. We pay a lot of money. Raise your standards, Altis. I had such high hopes for this place.
