Property Ratings at 11 Cooper St
Aesthetically pleasing. Structurally a nightmare. Not many washers so have to plan out a good time. Overall okay.
A new (ish) but cheaply/poorly built building. The apartments are nice and in building laundry is great but there has been many problems with the building. Elevator constantly breaks down, heating has seen an improvement (finally). The water is all over the place in terms of pressure and if you'll have hot/cold water at all. The insulation is awful in the apartments and you can hear so much from neighbors both above and around you. For the price they are asking you can find better for cheaper. The neighborhood is lovely and the parks are some of the best in Manhattan.
There are some issues for sure but I feel most apartments in Manhattan come with their fair share of issues. I feel the heat works fine and I’ve only had an issue with the laundry once or twice in the year I’ve lived here. It’s kept clean and I’ve never heard our neighbors through the walls. The street is noisy and we did have packages stolen during Christmas, but not since. I just wish the building would do something with all their space downstairs and on the roof. A gym or storage would be cool and furniture on the roof. It would make the price worth it.
this is a new 'luxury' building that looks nice but has many problems. the heat barely works which is partially because the air conditioners were not installed right and cold air comes thru them. the washers and dryers break all the time and are very expensive $2.50 per wash $2.50 per dry. if they break while your clothes are in them, management does not give you money back. also packages have been stolen from the building several times. super does not live in building and is often unresponsive. management only responds to complaints occasionally. BE WARNED!
