Bright and sunny apartment perfect for someone who wants Manhattan living without sacrificing space. It's in an amazing neighborhood right by the parks and Hudson River. It's far enough away to get a good night sleep, but when you wake up, you can be downtown in half an hour. The A train is one block away, and the 1 local is 3 blocks up Broadway. Both trains will get you downtown in 30-45 minutes. Central Park is 15 minutes away, The Upper West Side is 20 minutes away. I used to work in Greenwich Village, and it take me between 30-45 minutes to get to the West 4th stop on the A train. The neighborhood is safe and comfortable. I see the same faces almost everyday. Ft. George has a very small town feel to it with all the lovely Manhattan conveniences. The park across the street is beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend taking a stroll through the park. The gardens are amazing, and the Cloisters is breathtaking. There is a large family friendly playground at Broadway and Dyckman. The place is right by Hudson River and the GWB.
