Washington, DC's historic Waterfront neighborhood is both dynamic and diverse. Historic row houses sit in the shadow of mid-century government buildings, luxury condos, and high-rise office buildings. The largest houseboat community on the Eastern seaboard adds a touch of the quirky to this already unique area. Waterfront is off the typical tourist's path, providing a community feel not often found in the nation's capital.
Waterfront extends along the Anacostia River and dates back to the 1700s, when it was part of Piere L'Enfant's original city plans. Some of Waterfront's oldest buildings include Wheat Row, a series of row houses built around 1794. For fantastic views of the city, head to Hains Point, a peninsula located between the Washington Chanel and the Potomac River.

Property Ratings at Waterfront Tower
For anyone considering moving into this building, please take a minute to read all of this and definitely reconsider. The building management team here is the most unprofessional and unhelpful staff I’ve ever dealt with. They are supposed to serve residents and make living in the building at least somewhat pleasant... Instead, they are almost never available and act truly annoyed when asked by residents for help with something. Even the most simple and necessary requests like getting packages from the back, which residents don’t have access to otherwise. Not all of the staff are as particularly rude as the lead female building manager. She provided me nothing but attitude and extremely reluctant service since day one, and I have lived here for a year and a half. She is known by a majority of residents to be bossy, emotional and picks favorites in the building. She refuses to be helpful to anyone not in her circle. She also has been known by several residents to bend rules and randomly decide when to enforce them. When I make valid complaints to upper management, nothing is done. This all sounds far fetched but believe me, it really is this bad. In addition to the rude management staff (more specifically the lead building manager), they also charge an unreasonable amount of money just to move in and out. For example, because I moved out on a weekend I was required to pay $1000. Where all of that money goes is beyond me because the building is honestly falling apart. For example, the door handle for the side entrance to the building went unfixed for many months, forcing residents to get creative with how they opened the door. And I believe it was back to being broken as I was on my way out. At least one of the elevators is always down, and the timeframe to get them fixed is incredibly slow if they get it fixed at all. The entire building is just old and creepy to be completely honest, not a place I would recommend living in. If you think you can handle the awful management here and have a good amount of money lying around for random hidden fees, I wish you luck!
This building may look old and block like on the outside but on the inside is spacious with amazing windows. Most of the floor plans are open with great closet spaces and hardwood flooring. The tenants are friendly and pets under 30lbs are welcome. This is a great place in an up and coming neighborhood!
