The Parmer neighborhood is about 10 miles northeast of Downtown Austin and nine miles from the University of Texas at Austin.

Parmer contains several shopping plazas along I-35, with plenty of additional businesses scattered throughout this busy area. Nearby parks include Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park and Stoney Creek Park, both of which provide hiking trails and picnic areas.
