Resided here for 3.5 years before rent increases got out of control. There are some very good things about this building; the doormen, the pool, the convenient location. But if you have any problems or issues, dealing with the Leasing Office leaves much to be desired. They frequently do not answer emails, provide valid help/assistance, or do their jobs well/correctly. Dozens of instances of poor service over the 3.5 years -- frankly too many to name. My personal favorite, however, was when I received a stern email that the Leasing Office would begin charging me for owning two pets in the unit. We owned one pet, and did not have any other pets even temporarily with us. Leasing did not bother to, y'know, *ask* to confirm if we had a second pet. This was one of many instances of improper charges levied that I had to fight to get reduced. Unfortunately, that was the tip of the iceberg. Many residents have left in recent months due to extremely poor service and the rent increases; the building shows no desire or care to retain residents or to provide even baseline levels of appropriate customer service.

I love the front desk team, they are beyond kind and extremely helpful. However, constantly increasing my rent and stretching my budget is very hard. A lot of my friends are well respected teachers who would love to live here, but the rent is extremely high.

Avoid like the plague. Moving here is the worst decision you can possibly make. 1) smelly hallways and apartments (we even did a mold test to try to determine the source) and ordered an air purifier 2) NOISE NOISE NOISE - outdoor drilling, train passing through, trucks on the highway, nearby bar blasting music outdoors until 1 am every weekend, ongoing construction, almost daily lawn mowers 7 am - 2 pm, unexplained buzzing, fire alarms going off asking you to leave the building twice in the past couple of months, 3) unsympathetic management 4) unsafe neighborhood: shootings have occurred a street away from the building multiple times since I moved in 11 months ago 5) maintenance issues - good luck finding an employee who fixes anything the first time around, and enjoy the unfinished rooftop with OLD stained "cabanas" that do not match the advertised photos.

The rent is not overly expensive and the building and its amenities are nice. Location is good being close to the train and harbor point, and only a short drive into downtown.

I have recommended this to a few people--one took an apt and the other took and left soon thereafter as she decided to move back in w her boyfriend. So, I have recommended. I do counter that there's not a lot of restaurants in the area. That it is scary to walk outside at night so it's not safe to walk to the apts at end of Pacific. The people couldn't be nicer. I express to all that it's amazing how quickly your requests are answered and how appropriately maintained the facilities are. My only downsides are electricity cost are high. Also, the people in the park are scary. I love the pool but do caution that many times people just are allowed in that are clearly not residents. And, sometimes gets out of hand--the thongs are not 'proper attire', over-drinking (often), boom-boxes and when couples are in cabana it's kinda gross when the guy lays on top of the girl which happened a few times even with kids at the pool! I personally put a willow-reed fence so that my apt is kind of screened off but I still get a lot of people going into the alcove on near the maintenance doors smoking. Couple times people actually climbed on to raised garden which was scary to see traces in the AM--but that's something that's specific to my apt. But overall, I have really praised the apt, people and community. I think if you fixed the pool-traffic I'd up to a 9 with my highest compliments.

The community offers such beautiful amenities and caters to my needs.
Great community overall. Grace and Renel are great at the front desk. Others are ok. Maintenance crew is excellent. Things that could be improved: a lot of people use the garage as a storage unit. People come into the garage very fast and that's potentially dangerous. I have had a number of close encounters on foot and in my car. The garage doors seem to have issues on a regular basis. The homeless guys in the Park outback are creepy/when drinking they get loud and argue amongst themselves, it seems like there should be could be more of a security presence - even if it is someone walking by and engaging with the,
Someone in the office cancelled my move-in reservation of the elevator and loading deck without my permission. It made moving in incredibly stressful. The leasing agent on duty that day said she would look into why that happened but one month later I still have not received a response.

My apartment is beautiful, however the business across the street from me has degraded my living standards, the job seekers spilled on the sidewalks early in the morning playing loud music cursing and smoking cigarettes I no longer send my daughter outside to walk the dog by herself which'??s a shame, I know it a business however they should explain to the workers that this residential community and they consider their the community residents.

I think that prospective tenants should know about noise specific to living next to the freight elevator/trash shaft (compactor buzzing/echoes). If I had done my homework I would still live here, but in a different apartment.

The first year of living in the building was great. Over the last 6 months or so, the quality and cleanliness of the building seemed to deteriorate quite fast. All of the sudden, doors were breaking (staying open) or side doors jammed shut. Stains in our hallway carpet. One time there was a banana on the floor for a week. The maintenance and staff are great, it just seems like maybe there was a budget cut somewhere. Despite the budget cut, rent stayed the same, reducing the overall value we were getting.

I like the space and the location. Some of the amenities suffer from disrepair. Also, I believe that the amenities are made available to other buildings which leads to over crowding and less pleasure for the 111 residents. The carpeting in the hallways desperately needs to be replaced. For the most part, it suits my needs well however.

we have always loved 111 since we had friends move in 3 years ago. since, we have been hoping to move in. the amenities, location, look and feel, and all around service is great. very excited to be a part of the community.

Feel it is a bit overpriced for Stamford. The extra charges should be included in your rent and not add ons.
I'm frustrated that the air/heating temperature fluctuates SO much (5+ degrees). The only thing maintenance has done is replace our thermostat multiple times.
Overall I’m happy living here I would like to see the community a bit more safer however I know that’s out of your control and I The hallway and stairs needs to be clean more often when something is broken days pass before before the problem is actually fix.
There are lingering residents/neighbors concern about the Super Bowl shooting. The Communication around that should have been handled more promptly and succinctly. It is unclear what additional steps have been put into place since then to alleviate potential future problems.
I like the space. The pool area is way too crowded in the summer having been made available to other buildings. The fire alarm system goes off every time we cook. It's just trying to compete with NYC, but just falls a bit short in service and quality.
Beautiful building with a great selection of facilities for residents. Lovely view and terrace from my 7th floor apartment. 24hr attended front desk, walk to local grocer and several eateries are around the corner.
I have been a resident for over a year and am happy with the apt in general.I did have an issue recently in the indoor garage which has given me a bad taste in my mouth.The garage doors are very erratic In the way they open and close.on númerous occasions I have had to get out of my car and go Into the building to put the door up from the wall switch.The other day I was on my way out and the door wouldn't open.I started to get out of my car to use the door switch and suddenly the door went up.It grabbed my license plate bracket and ripped it off the front of my car scratching the front bumper.I brought it to the attention of management right away.I was told that i damaged their door and that they would not pay anything toward the repairs which wouldn't have been much for them to obsorb.Basicly they said it was my fault and they would do nothing.I work in sales and this type of attitude won't win you many new customers.......

Very accommodating and love the atmosphere. They charge extra for pets and the clientele are free spirited. Love it here! Just wish it didn't seem so... New. I loved NYCs prewar apartments.
