This furnished house is located in one of the better residential neighborhoods in Martins Ferry. The vast majority of the homes are single family homes occupied by the people that own them. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. I've had packages delivered on the front porch that sat for days and no one bothered them. The location of this home couldn't be more convenient. There's a Dollar General right across the street, and a Kroger and a CVS Pharmacy right behind that, so groceries and basic necessities are a 2 minute walk. There are 3 gas stations and 2 fast food restaurants all within walking distance. There's also a takeout Japanese Hibachi a block away and a Bob Evan's just across the highway. The house is located just off State Route 7, so it takes only a minute to get to the highway to leave town. Steubenville, OH is 20 minutes to the North, Moundsville, WV is 20 minutes to the South, St. Clairsville, OH is 15 minutes to the West, and Wheeling, WV is 5 minutes to the East. Pittsburgh, PA is 1 hour away. There's hardly a need to drive anywhere for nearly any necessity. Downtown Martins Ferry is only a mile and a half away where there are more restaurants, hardware stores, and other specialty retailers. There's also a city park with a playground, park benches, and a recreation center with a large public pool. The very popular Oglebay Park is 15 minutes away in rural Wheeling, and the Highlands (a popular dining/shopping/entertainment area) is 20 minutes away. The house is small, but surprisingly spacious. There's a full basement with a finished bathroom(shower/toilet/sink), a furnished bedroom, and a separate laundry room. The laundry room has a sink, a washer, and a dryer. The main floor has a full, newly refreshed kitchen, a sitting room, and a large living room/dining room. The Living room is equipped with a 4K smart TV and features a gas log fireplace for additional comfort on those cold, Winter nights. Upstairs are two bedrooms, both with their own, walk-in closets, a full bathroom with shower/tub, and a small foyer that connects all three. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, as does the foyer and the sitting room just off of the living room. The master bedroom features a queen bed with memory foam mattress, a night stand with lamp and alarm clock, and a dresser with mirror. The second bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress, a clothes hutch, and a 3-tiered corner shelf, and a small entertainment center with a 26" HDTV, xfinity smart hub, and Peacock streaming service. There is a full length mirror on the closet door. The house is perfect for a small family looking for an entire home with adequate space and privacy, or 2-3 people who would like to split rent costs without having to sleep on a floor. Outside, there is a small back yard, which I maintain, and a screened in rear porch. The rear porch is just off of the kitchen and is what we use as the main means of entry. The front door is a rounded, castle style door for which there is no key. The front door opens, and you can get in and out that way, but it locks automatically when you close it, so you can't get back in. All doors have deadbolts. There is a small garage in the back, but I use it as storage and for the lawn mowing equipment. The second half of the garage is a beauty shop being rented by a couple of older women. The back yard is equipped with an automatic flood light that lights up the back yard at night for added security. It comes on at dusk, stays on all night, and shuts off at dawn. A great property in a great location...furnished, clean, convenient, quiet, and safe. There are no taxes, insurance, or utilities to pay, and hi-speed internet is included.
