Located on Long Lake in Nashwauk, our property offers stunning views of the lake and surrounding forests. There is no public access to the lake, so it is always quiet and filled with native MN wildlife. If you need, we are just a short drive from all the city amenities both Nashwauk and Hibbing have to offer. The space: This will be your new Summer time relaxation destination for your family, including those furr-babies! Sleeping Arrangements: The main cabin has a full sized bed in the loft and a pull out twin sized bed in the main living room area. The bunkhouse is a separate building with a full sized pull out bed and a twin sized blow up air mattress. Extra linens for these beds are kept in their respective buildings. The bunkhouse would be a perfect place for children to stay in! It comes with loads of games, a heated fireplace, and extra seating to put your feet up. **If you only need the main cabin, please message us for a discount!** Cooking/Eating: The main cabin will have all of the items you will need for food storage and preparation during your stay. There is a full sized fridge with a freezer. No need to bring a cooler. There is access to unlimited drinkable water, both warm and hot, located in the entrance of the main cabin. There is a stove top with provided pots and pans and essential spices. Even through there is no oven, we have a smaller convection oven and microwave on site. Perfect for a frozen pizza or making toast! A grill is located just off of the main cabin's deck. If you are lucky enough to catch enough fish for a meal, there is a single burner propane stove for you to use OUTSIDE of the cabin. Can't forget about the coffee! We will have a regular drip coffee and a Keurig machine for you to use. We will provide enough coffee for one morning, but then we ask for you to bring your own. There is a fire pit and firewood on site. We have roasting forks for you to use if you want some hotdogs or smores! We have paper plates and cups for you to use since there is no sink located on the property. We will have a plastic bin containing sponges and dish soap if you accumulate any dirty dishes during your stay. You can use the hot water from the drinking jug and cleaning supplies for your dishes during your stay. Outside Recreation: You will have private access to Long Lake. There is a small beach area and a dock right off of our property. Feel free to load your boat, but be aware of soft ground before you do so. This lake does not have any public water access and backs up to state land, so it is a very quiet lake! We also have a canoe and paddles for you to use on site. You will need to provide your own life vests and are required to wear them the entire time you are using the canoe. We have a couple of swings on the property and a hammock for you to relax in. We also have some fun yard games on site for you to enjoy as well! Bathroom: There is no bathroom inside the main cabin or bunkhouse. An outhouse is located to the left of the main cabin. Shower: We have a fully enclosed portable shower for you to use. It is set up outside of the main cabin. Inside the portable shower, there is a place for you to hang your towel and clothes. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Towels can be found in the loft bedroom in the main cabin. The hot water for the shower is created through the use of solar bags. You will need to get the water from the spigot and fill the solar bags in the morning. The water will warm throughout the day from the sunlight and you will have a hot shower by the evening time. Of course, you will need to make sure the water isn't too hot! We will provide you with 3 solar bags which will provide enough water for 6 people to bathe. Guest access You are welcome to access the main cabin and bunkhouse during your stay. You are not allowed to enter into the 3rd building on the property or any storage units/sheds. Additional rules When you settle in, please look through the Welcome Book found on the dining room table. It includes everything you would need to know or find during your stay. GARBAGE: All garbage must be cleaned and removed from the outside area nightly and disposed of in the garbage bin located to the right of the main cabin. At the end of your stay, please clean up any food or wrappers in the cabin and bunkhouse and dispose of in the garbage bin. CANOE: If you choose to use the canoe, you are required to wear a life vest the entire time. Please bring the canoe back to the main cabin when you are not using it. FIREARMS: You are not allowed to use any firearms on the property. FISHING: Please abide by the MN Fishing Regulations. We have a copy for you in the welcome book.
