Property Ratings at 115 West Apartments
The AC has been out for 2 weeks now without a quoted time frame of getting it fixed "in a month". It has been over 80 F everyday in the apartment! Tenants who have lived here state that the AC goes out for 1-2 months normally EVERY SUMMER and sometimes in the WINTER for heat!! The landlord and management will not acknowledge the AC not working and they are NOT making any accommodations! Every time I contact the property manager, I get called a "liar" despite several tenants complaining to her and showing her proof/pictures of how hot it is in their apartments! DO NOT RENT HERE.
Untimely and apathetic management - Do not waste your time applying here: I've been trying to rent a place for 2 months going back and forth with the management. They NEVER respond back. I was informed that I would get a renovated apartment done on time by my move in date. I was informed that I would get updates about the renovation process - I never did. I called every day/ left a voicemail and emailed once. I finally got an email back a week later acknowledging that they received my voicemails and that they will call me when they have more updates on the renovation-they still did not call me back. I kept calling toward the end of the week until someone picked up and informed me that the apartment will NOT be ready on time.- 1 month before my move in date and they were unsure when it will be ready. I asked them if they were willing to price match this renovated apartment to the one that I was promised initially as they were similar. They informed me they would ask and let me know ASAP - After a few days, I never got called back! After calling once a day and leaving voicemails, I got fed up & called the main management company.. They finally answered one of my calls and informed me that they did receive my prior phone calls & the email from the company - but for some reason NEVER returned any of my calls. She stated that she will go to the original apartment that I was promised to see if they can get it finished on time and she will call me back "in a few hours"- I NEVER GET A CALL BACK. ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK and I never got a move-in statement. It is now 15 days before my move-in day, I called them today and requested a move-in statement, and I was just informed that the apartment will be carpet NOT VINYL like I was promised and kept informing them repeatedly how important of a criteria that is to me. The management people did not care they were stringing me along. They continuously me false or withheld information. I asked them many times to price match or reduce the price of the other apartment that met my criteria that would be similar to the one I was promised-It's been several weeks and I was informed they still have not done that. They wanted to renovate the original apartment by replacing half the stuff only - Janky apartment. The management team is indifferent and do not follow-up on time. Apparently, there's only one maintenance guy for the whole building.
Love the vintage building. It's historical appeal is incredible and beautiful. Inside, my place was a quiet nest in which I was able to find peaceful retreat from the world outside. It was my Home. There's no place like Home!
