Welcome to the Rocket City Retreat! This two-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom townhome is perfect for your next Huntsville getaway. The home can comfortably sleep eight and comes furnished with everything you need to feel at home during your stay. Located less than 20 minutes from the US Space and Rocket Center, UAH, and Monte Sano State Park, this hidden gem is not to be missed! Guests will enter the home through the front door with a digital door code. Inside, you'll be welcomed into a foyer with stairs leading to the bedrooms on your left and a spacious kitchen on your right. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, dishwasher, and microwave, along with a cute bistro table and a full array of pots and pans. Just past the kitchen is the dining room with a table for four, overlooking the serene living room with a cozy couch and chairs, oversized TV, and a brick fireplace (for looks only). There is a half bathroom downstairs. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms and one bathroom connected to both rooms. The first bedroom features a king bed, and there are two full beds in the second bedroom. For additional sleeping space, the couch in the living room has a queen pullout bed. Access to the fully fenced backyard is through the double doors in the living room, featuring a charcoal grill and a chair set. The home is pet-friendly, requiring pets to be crated when left unattended. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned from the yard. A non-refundable pet fee is required. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. This is a transitioning neighborhood. While some guests have expressed concerns, we love our family-friendly neighborhood and have never had any security issues. However, we recognize that every guest has different life experiences. Driving is encouraged, with two parking spots available behind the home. Uber, Lyft, and other taxi services are also available. The house features contact-free check-in via a digital door code, with the code provided upon check-in. The HVAC units upstairs are mobile. A signed rental agreement is required, and guests must be 21 years of age to book. A laptop computer is not included.

Neighborhood

The Huntsville neighborhood of Farley-Oakhurst Place is a vast, diverse area just south of Downtown Huntsville. Situated along the banks of the Tennessee River, bounded to the north by Mountain Gap Road, and to the east by Shawdee Road, Farley-Oakhurst encompasses both suburban residential developments and untouched countryside. The neighborhood, especially the northern section, has become popular with families and renters looking to stay to close to the action of Huntsville while enjoying a more affordable space of their own. Memorial Parkway Southwest (Highway 231) is where you’ll find both locally owned restaurants and national chains ranging from pizza and wings to sandwiches and Italian food.
