Charming house in the very desirable Mayfair neighborhood with great walkability. Two bedroom, 2 bathroom house with an open floor plan, a very large yard and quiet street, but still walking distance to parks, restaurants and bars. The rooms have large closets. The detached garage is newer with a large amount of storage space and a workbench. Home has a covered patio for eating meals outside on summer nights. There is an open kitchen that was remodeled in 2009, hardwood floors, an office, and even air conditioning. There is a small attached garage that can be used as an art studio or workshop. Even though the pictures show yellow walls, the interior has been painted all white since then. The home also has newer windows, central heating and air. It was even featured on the HGTV show, My First Place in 2010. It is 2 blocks from a park with tennis courts, basketball court, playground and softball field. It is just 3 blocks from Colfax with restaurants like Benzina, Jett Sushi, Marczyk Fine Foods, Abbey Tavern, City Donuts. Also, the 9+CO area to the southwest has a lot of new restaurants, shops and a movie theater within a short bike ride. The front porch is great for sitting on warm summer nights to say hi to those walking by. A background check and great credit (725 or higher) will be required. After discussing with owners and an application, if it seems to be a good fit for both parties, the tenant will pay $35 for a credit check. The house is unfurnished and there is no smoking. A well-trained, small adult dog (50 lbs or less) is allowed but with an additional non-refundable pet deposit of $500. The yards will be maintained by a lawn company. A small boat will be stored behind a fence on the north side in winter. We will be showing the house this Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.. Current tenants are leaving at the end of May after staying six years with no rent increases. Tenant pays for electricity, internet, gas and water (there is a sprinkler system that needs to run in summer). We pays for trash (small can) and lawn maintenance.
