Located just southwest of Downtown Atlanta, the West End is a historic neighborhood home to charming residences and a vibrant community. The West End’s cultural amenities extend beyond its many exciting, diverse restaurants. The neighborhood is also home to the Hammond House Museum and the Wren’s Nest, where residents can delve into the area’s storied, artistic past.
The West End community comes together for an array of community meetings and festivals. Options for outdoor recreation abound at West End Park, Howell Park, and the Atlanta Beltline’s Westside Trail, which cuts directly through the neighborhood. There are plenty excellent shopping opportunities at the Mall at West End as well.
The West End’s convenient, in-town location is a major draw for many neighborhood residents. Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown College are all close by.

Property Ratings at 1295 West Apartments
Let's talk about 1295 WEST first of all it's a laid back community very little drama and like with all real estate the location is great 5 to 10 min from everything. you name it it's here now let me tell you about the office staff they are accommodating they went out of they way for me when I change my apt unit very fair. Nice and professional and the maintenance crew was on time as well haven't had any problems that didn't get handled so far. Great group of people they got here now. Would recommend to all. Come and give them a try.
Due to all the craziness of covid I downsized a bit and moved into 1295 West. Love my new two bedroom- looks practically brand new as they are doing some renovations at the property. Communication back and forth with the office couldn't be better, but maintenance needs a bit of work. They're nice and quick jus need to keep the grounds cleaner
I have been here a year. I liked the price and the closeness to the beltline and Kroger. Sadly these apartments were sold since I moved here. The new staff and owners are very disappointing. The old staff went out of there way to help me. The new staff has been incredibly rude and dishonest several times to me. Also the rent is going up significantly in the website. Some of the staff tried to dispute with me about the prices I noticed increasing but they didn't send the prices to me in writing like I asked them to, to verify the prices they were telling me they would cut for me. I had another incident with them changing the laundry facilities and not informing me. And I had had $40 on my wash card they refused to refund. Also, there is alot of drug activity here. Some neighbors actively sell from there house and the police and management do nothing. The new management doesn't clean well so there is alot of trash around. And people come off the street and hang out and the management allows it. They don't have good lighting up. Either. There is alot of drinking, partying and fighting that happens right in the parking lot. Recently there have been several shootings here. Again, the management doesn't care and makes no steps to change it. I Will not be renewing my lease here
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The maintenance man entered my apartment without notice and without a mask. Was coming in my apartment while I was in bed and my kids was in here.
Im so happy in my cozy, quiet, and peaceful unit! This is my 5th year in my unit and, would like to say thanks to the management team for going over and beyond on repairing and upgrading our apartment community. Having the Atlanta(Westside)Beltline at my back door for this rental price, just adds on to my amazing unit!!!!Last but not least, a special shot out to the best Property Manager a tenant would die for Ms.Kathy!!!!!!!!She's compassionate, very understanding, and goes out her way to make this community stand out from the rest!!!!!!
I just moved in today and love the renovations done to my apartments. The granite countertops are beautiful.
I have lived on the property for 4 yrs now and new management are having the grounds look so great. I'm pleased with Ms. Kathy and her team. Great customer service !!! Mr. JW
I lived here for 3 years and have seen multiple waves of property and amenity improvements from parking lots being repaved, more exterior lighting added, upgraded gutters, and upgraded laundromat. Interiors are being upgraded as units turn over, and I can't tell you how gorgeous the original hardwood floors are! The community has also been going through a revitalization in recent years as well. The Westside Trail of the Atlanta Beltline, along with other city street/sidewalk upgrade efforts, have spurred many of the vacant and neglected properties to be purchased and flipped into livable homes.
Ever since management has been revamped everything has been on the up and up. Ms. Keisha and the entire front office staff have been nothing short of awesome. They are always ready to assist with any concerns and are bringing back the community feel to Donnelly Gardens. If you’re looking for an up and coming location that still places you close to all your city favorites for an affordable price, then you must check them out !
PROS: Inexpensive Community Vibe Quiet Location (with some exceptions) Maint Orders completed in a timely manner Centrally Located to EVERYTHING Wood Floors Real Ceramic Tub Lots of Cabinet Space Nosy Elders:) Beltline Large closets Kroger is in walking distance CONS: No HVAC, bedroom window unit is loud, therefore, everyone's tv is turned up to accommodate Nosy Elders(: Beltline (gentrification) Loud motorcycles drive through at all hours of the day Leasing Office has inoperable printers, apparently Uber Eats drivers have trouble finding apartment numbers If you live near the tennis courts, on the second level, theres a dangerous telephone line that hangs by the railing. Overall I loved my stay. I enjoyed the community, and the area.
My friend currently lives in this complex. She was robbed at gunpoint. The guy took her purse and house keys. The leasing agent refused to change her locks and also informed her that her being robbed at gunpoint was not an emergency to have her locks changed. They told her to contact her renter's insurance!!! I would never recommend this property to ANYONE!!!! You truly get what you pay for! The area is not safe AT ALL! There are no street lights on Donnelly Ave and you hardly see any courtesy officer on site!!!! The leasing agents could care less about their residents! It is dangerous here and NOT worth your money or your safety!!!!
I am a student and am grateful this was my 1st apartment living on my own off campus. Very affordable rates--I got a great deal on a 1 bedroom unit, though now residents must purchase renter's insurance. I've had no problems with noise. Everything in my apartment functions well and maintenance was incredibly quick to respond the few times I needed them (replacing air filter in the A.C., starting heater for winter). For the past year, I've seen maybe 5 roaches in my apartment, with each occurrence spaced far away from each other--so I'd say not a particularly bad bug problem at all. Pest services go to my apartment once a month. The people at the leasing office--especially Ms. Chandra--are very friendly and helpful. They recently switched management. Though the area does have homeless in it, they are certainly not dangerous, but rather kind and always appreciate any assistance you have to offer them. Just renewed my lease for another year!
I moved in and I was greeted by roaches. I mean they were everywhere including the refrigerator!!! That wasn't my only problem-the windows were so old that when I opened one to ventilate my apartment (it smelled bad to begin with plus loads of bug spray) a huge piece of the glass fell out!!!! I told maintenance about it but they didn't fix it. However, they DID get rid of the roaches. On the other hand I had bees , stink bugs, flies , and wasps flying into my apartment because of the broken window
do not live here. mgmt will come into your apt with no notice and find some bogus reason to threaten your contract - if you have any clutter, or dishes in the sink, they will write you up for "poor housekeeping" and threaten to terminate you - even though the entire complex is run down and dirty!
I love the apartment it is quite in my area and the apartment is extremely spacious, I am a student and it's wonderful having my own space! I love it so much I have no plans of leaving any time soon.
This is my first apartment on my own, so I feel like it's a nice apartment for my starter. It's not too fancy, but it's not run down. They made sure to thoroughly clean it before I came. The customer service in the leasing office is outstanding, Chandra is so nice. Any issue you have with maintenance, they will definitely take care of. They keep the lawn very neat & presentable; flowers and trees too. It's always pretty quiet, no worries about disturbances. I haven't had any complaints so far, hope this helps any prospective resident.
