This beautiful oceanfront house is situated between Portland Headlight and Two Lights State Park, in Cape Elizabeth. Portland Headlight, one of the most popular Headlights in the Country, is clearly visible from all levels of this Hannaford Cove Farmhouse, an early 19th century home located a short distance from the town beach. It features over an acre of mowed grassy yard and several hundred feet of waterfront with great water views. This gorgeous home is full of charm and luxury, and is very spacious! Accommodating up to 10 guests, this 3+ bedroom, 2.5 bath farmhouse will provide you with an unforgettable coastal Maine experience. The house is situated on a large piece of property in Hannaford Cove and has been owned by the same family for over 100 years. It recently underwent a renovation, adding a new full-size kitchen, as well as a laundry room. Unobstructed ocean views from nearly every window in the house, plus 2 enclosed porches and direct access to the ocean are just a few of the things that you are sure to love about this property. The neighborhood is a very quiet and private residential area. Guests will have full use of the house, the screened porches, the backyard, parking, and the land across the street is privately owned and included in the property. From this area, Guests will be able to access two private but shared beaches. There is a third, swim-able beach on the other end of the cove, which is within walking distance of the cottage. There is a grill, outside furniture in the backyard. Lease Terms: SHORT TERM/Seasonal - 7-day minimum rental is preferred. Rates are based on a 7-day rental, for up to 6 guests. The property can sleep up to 10. The rate for each additional guest (7 -10 guests) is $50/night per person. Rentals of 4- 6 days will be considered depending on last minute availability. Security deposit, cleaning and pet fees apply. 5/19 - 6/29 = $5,750/per week; $30,000/per month 6/30 - 9/07 = $7,500/per week; $30,000/per month 9/08 -10/13 = $5,750/per week; $30,000/per month Kitchen: This recently remodeled kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including an electric range, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. The light, airy cabinetry make this a delightful space for preparing meals. Cookware and utensils are provided. There is also a moveable butcher’s block that doubles as a breakfast bar for two. Living Room: High ceilings, exposed beams, gorgeous wood floors, a brick fireplace, and a light and airy color palette are just a few things that make this huge space so very cozy. Two full sized couches, 3 armchairs and a wooden bench will ensure that there are plenty of comfy spots to lounge. A large flat screen TV is also provided. Den: Just off the kitchen is a sitting area perfect for hanging out with a glass of wine and appetizers, while dinner is being prepared. Kids are close by playing a game, reading a book or watching their IPads. Dining Area 1: Part of the open concept living room area, a lovely dining table that seats 6 - 10 people is tucked off to the side. Dining Area 2: Wrapped in windows and hardwood floors, this dining area is furnished with a dining table that seats 6 - 8 and is situated on one of two enclosed porches. A perfect place to have breakfast and watch the lobstermen come by and set their pots for the day. Enclosed Porches: There are two enclosed porches that are fully furnished with couches, armchairs and chaises for total comfort while you take in the magnificent views. These porches provide additional space for entertaining or lounging. Bedroom 1: This spacious and airy bedroom is on the second floor and is furnished with a king-sized bed, and direct access to the larger bathroom. Bedroom 2: Located on the second floor, this bedroom features pine walls, wood floors, and is furnished with a queen-sized bed. Bedroom 3: Also located on the second floor, this bedroom features pine walls, wood floors and 2 twin sized beds. Bedroom 4/play room: The third floor provides a spacious play area with TV and additional sleeping quarters with two full-size beds. There is also a twin mattress in the play area that can be used for additional sleeping accommodations. Bathroom 1: This half bath is conveniently located on the first floor. Bathroom 2: Located on the second floor, this full bath features a stand-up shower and is situated close to bedrooms 2 & 3. Bathroom 3: This enormous and beautiful farmhouse bathroom features a huge tiled, walk-in shower area that also contains a claw foot tub! Accessed through the hall or directly from the largest bedroom, this bathroom can be utilized as a private, master bath. Pets: Up to two pets will be allowed upon approval. A pet application is required. There is an additional fee of $50/per night for each pet.
