Property Ratings at 130-134 Sunset Cir
Alright, for the sake of future residents I am writing an honest and candid review. Do yourself a favor and DON'T live here. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. Besides the crazy rent cost, there were some major flaws with the building. One of the big issues was our building was sinking. The desk drawers in my guest bedroom started opening on their own after about 6 months living there because the floor started bowing in the center. The building LOOKED nice but appeared it was constructed haphazardly and beginning to show. The hardwood floors in our apartment pushed together over time so much they warped and buckled and became very noisy while walking around in my bare feet. My brother commented during a visit that he felt like he was walking around a fun house. The finishings and accents were nice but the unit was a FAR cry from "luxurious." The unit square footage was not very spacious at this price but the layout was smart. Then there was the overflowing dumpster, pet waste bin, lack of plowing, ridiculous landlord playing games and a few arrogant neighbors who never pick up their dog scat or leave their filled trash bags outside of their own door. There were a couple tenants who did not even TRY to park their cars correctly, drove through the parking lot at 30mph or illegally parked in the handicapped spots. Landlord did nothing. I guess that goes with any complex living but should NOT at this price point. This place is directly off one of the BUSIEST downtown streets in the city of Greensboro. Slightly secluded but not that quiet. Overall the neighborhood was very nice but not that amazing nor diverse. There was also some kind of a hard water or contamination issue. The laundry machines, toilets, sinks and showers CONSTANTLY collected mold-like black residue deposits everywhere. The buildup would start showing back up just three days after a thorough scrub down! I had to visit an ENT Doctor 3x while living there from the shower water in my ear canal. Then there were the problems with bugs. In speaking to others, I learned this was a problem in many of the units, including ours, which was on one of the higher floors. Was not just roaches either. It was a variety of bugs and not just a sighting here or there - it was on the boundary of an infestation. There are much nicer places to live in the Irving/Fisher Park area and for a MUCH lower price.
The Colony at Country Club Apartments. Overpriced. Zero amenities. Difficult landlord. Not even real balconies.
