Property Ratings at 130 Cole
I have nothing positive to say about this place. It’s not a safe neighborhood and it’s not a clean neighborhood. As already mentioned this property only cares about aesthetics and getting you in the door. They truly don’t care about your well being or quality of living standards.
I’ve lived here for a little more than 3 years and really had no concerns up until we began having issues needIng maintenance. The maintenance team has pretty much remained the same and I’ll often just see them wandering around. Previously we had electrical issues so they unscrewed all the outlets in the affected room (damaging the drywall). They ended up not fixing the issue but just disabling the affected electrical current so now we don’t have use of our back patio lighting and we have damaged walls. In the process, they also damaged some of my personal property. This time around I made a request regarding my kitchen sink. They told me not to use it and that it would be a priority. I called every day for a week and was told the same thing over and over. After almost 2 weeks without use of my kitchen sink I went to the on-site office. While communicating my concerns regarding the maintenance team and my kitchen sink that I’ve been waiting 2 weeks to be fixed, the “leasing specialist” proceeded to laugh at me. When I explained that her behavior was invalidating she just continued laughing. I don’t understand how that was professional at all. My concerns should matter as I do pay to reside here but I see that they do not. In all, it’s a great place to live because it’s close enough to downtown but still far away so you don’t necessarily have to deal with the craziness during football season. As long as you don’t ever need any work done within the apartment you should be fine living here.

We apologize that you had an issue with the time it took for maintenance to address your concerns, as during this pandemic we have been only addressing emergency work orders. We are glad that you have chosen to make Serene at Riverwood your home for the last 3 years and hope that you will continue to do so as we appreciate our residents. Please contact sereneatriverwood@trinity-pm.com at your earliest convenience to discuss your experience with the team member as well as any continued maintenance issues. Thank-you.
Riverwood apartments has three models available. I chose the medium sized town house with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. I opted for the second bedroom, because I wanted to have a personal study. My place is a quick five minute drive to the heart of downtown Athens, which has an amazing art, music, and coffee scene. However, I am far enough away to avoid the expanse of yearly influx brought on by returning students. I do not know if all the townhouses are as nice as mine; however, I have brand new flooring, counter tops, etc. they are pet friendly and maintenance is helpful with any issues. The buildings are older (80s) which has some evidence, but the structures are solid. The neighborhood is relatively safe, however a few streets away the area is a little more run down. But, I still walk around the neighborhood without any problems. About a two minute drive is Ben Burton Park, which is a nice place to read and watch the river. Overall the staff was helpful with my transitioning, and I would recommend living here to a friend. The only wish I have is that the appliances (ie. fridge, toilets, dishwasher) were upgraded to conserve energy and water. I'm happy here, and so is my cat.
