This duplex was built in 1891 and offers unmatched living in Old Colorado City. Two bedrooms, one bath, and a beautiful, private back yard! This home can be rearranged in many different ways to best suit your needs. This home is the northern half of a duplex, and has a private entrance from both the front porch and another from the alleyway. The front porch is lovely to sit on, especially in the summertime. You will hear birds chirping throughout the neighborhood, and if you're lucky some deer will stop by to eat the clover in the front lawn. It is about 1000 square feet, and both of the bedrooms are big enough to fit a queen or king sized bed. Both of the bedrooms have a large closet space. Most of the windows face northwest to view the mountains, and you can even see Pikes Peak in the winter months. The kitchen has been updated with a beautiful, deep sink, and the stove features a gas range. There is also a full sized fridge and freezer combo, and a dishwasher for your convenience. The kitchen has room for a sitting area or a small table. There is a large pantry behind the kitchen that doubles as storage space and has crawl space access. There are laundry hookups available, but no laundry machines. The bathroom has lovely tile work, bronze fixtures and beautiful fresh paint. The shower is big enough for two to relax in. The hall connects all the rooms in the house, and has been painted with custom murals. It adds a beautiful, artistic feeling to the home. There is also a mural in the front bedroom/sitting room. The home offers a large, spacious, fenced-in backyard that is for use by only this unit. There are about 4 parking spots in the alleyway, also just for this unit's use. This backyard is a gardener's dream! Compost and soil amendments have been added, and this last summer we planted a clover and native grass lawn in the backyard that will come back in the spring. There are two decks directly outside the backdoor of the home, great for barbecuing or enjoying the sun! The home is in a very walkable neighborhood within walking distance of both Downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City. Manitou and Garden of the Gods are within a 10 minute drive.
