About This Property
If you love old homes full of creaks and character, this house will be your next apartment. We, the owners live on the first floor and share the house with 4 tenants (4 apartments). We are neighbors in every sense of the word. Most people say it rather reminds them of the old boarding houses. We have very long term tenants 10 yrs and 20 years and some been here only 2 years. Your have your privacy, yet if you need something, our house is full of wonderful tenants. We do a background and credit checkthe applicant, the fee is $25. You must be working or proof of income to apply. This apartment is on the third floor, there are two apartments on each floor. It is a secure home, doors are always locked and secured. The side entrance/ porch is used by our tenants, to enjoy a cool summer evening, sitting on the swing and maybe a glass of wine. Occasionlly , we share a meal together. If you are looking for an apartment in a great neighborhood, this may be your best bet. Not your conventionally long hallway/apartment. Charming, old wood, tall ceilings, all wood floors (carpets are needed to reduce noise) and great neighbors. This apartment is for 1 person, as we pay for all utilities except electric. The furnace is gas, there are electric baseboard heaters for supplemental heating, if needed, window AC. A spacious apartment with an eat-in kitchen, large living room, spacious bedroom and an office/catch all area. There is a view of the Capital also. There are no laundry facilities on site, but our neighbor allows our tenants to do their washing there, for a fee. May consider a cat with a $200 pet fee. If this sounds like something you would like, please text/call us , only serious inquiries please.
