Downtown spacious and sunny bedroom in a huge furnished 2 bedroom apartment, 10-minute walk from Yale MedSchool and Yale Old Campus. Mostly Yale students/employees in the neighborhood. One bedroom is available starting JUNE 1st (with sublease until August 1st) OR AUGUST 1st for a year. Rent is $700. The building is managed by Chelsea Company. All utilities, including high speed wi-fi, usually run around $80-$100. The apartment is on the top floor of a beautiful and charming historic building on a corner of Dwight and Chapel. It has been recently renovated and everything in the apartment is in great condition. There is plenty of space to keep your bike in the lobby on the first floor. There is also on-street parking and permit parking which is never fully occupied, which is a real find for downtown (a year-long permit costs only $20 and comes with 2 guest passes). The apartment is fully furnished, and you would have the option to buy a queen bed from my roommate who is moving out. There is a communal big screen TV with netflix and HBO in the living room. There is also an AC unit in the bedroom and a fully equipped large kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher and a big microwave. I am a 28 year old postdoc working at the Yale School of Medicine and my current roommate is from the Yale school of drama but will be moving out. I am a really laid back, easy going, social and friendly guy. I like to gather with friends and have cookouts, frequent New Haven's great bars for a nice draft, travel to NYC and Boston, go to festivals, ski, etc. One of my favorite bars in New Haven, Rudy's, is only one block away; being so close to downtown you can easily walk to all the great restaurants and bars this city has to offer. I also like cooking and hosting dinner parties, working out, and generally being active during the weekends. As a researcher at the med school I usually work a lot and late hours and don't spend that much time at home. I have a car so if you don't and ever need to get groceries I would be happy to help. Preferably, I am looking for a Yale-associated student/postdoc with a sociable and friendly personality and perhaps some common interests. I try to keep the place clean but I am no OCD about it at all. If you are interested please feel free to email me and we can discuss it in detail. If you are in town we can schedule a meeting or if you are coming from far away we can set up a skype tour. Alex.

Adjacent to downtown New Haven, Yale campus, and Yale New Haven Hospital, Dwight is a popular location for students, faculty, university staff, and healthcare professionals. The neighborhood includes the Dwight Street Historic District, renowned for its eclectic variety of Victorian architectural styles.
The close proximity to campus means that locals have access to the extensive dining, entertainment, and nightlife attracted by the student body – A seemingly-endless selection of locally-owned pizza parlors in and around the Dwight neighborhood ensures that you’ll eventually find your all-time favorite spot to grab a slice.
