I updated my rating to 4 since cleaning & maintenance are more consistent & they recently replaced the security team. I enjoy living here because it’s usually a quiet community. Occasionally there are pool parties that go late but it’s just people having fun. There are a few annoyances, but to be fair, one of the biggest nightmares—the parking garage—is outside mgmt's control, but it’s something prospective residents should consider. There’s one entrance, which opens automatically for residents but nonresidents often block it. They’ll sit idling or even park in front of the gate, preventing anyone from entering. Once someone even left their car parked at the entrance, which accumulated a line of about 3–4 cars. Some people ended up just opting for street parking at that point. I waited over 20 min for them to return then called the towing company listed for the building but they said they couldn’t tow it. The blockages cause backups onto La Branch. In general, I do enjoy living here.

Overall good experience. Apartment maintenance request are taken care of very quickly and the staff is nice. No noise from neighbors, good parking experience, and packages never go missing.

Christina was great! I’m happy with my new home. I love the views from the balcony facing Minute Maid and discovery green is only a 5 min walk! The area is perfect.

Overall, a very good experience - overall a great staff and nice building. The one shortfall is that some building repairs have taken a LONG time. An important door that goes to the garage was broken and unusable for like 2.5 months.

Good location, nice apartment units. Nice balconies and really tall ceilings. Walls aren’t too thin. Parking garage is nice and big but could be maintained a little better (adding garbage cans)

1414 Texas Downtown has been home for the past 2 years and I can not express how much I love living here! The location is central and walking distance to key attractions (minute maid park, discovery green,the symphony,Houston ballet,wortham center and numerous restaurants). The entire staff and crew are amazing and always ready to help in whatever is asked/ needed..The amenities are amazing as well as the safety/security of the whole facility.

Building has great infrastructure is close to most things in downtown and has several restaurants and parks nearby. Also has a good Catholic Church close by and lastly the staff is amazing.

The location can't be beat and the entire staff,from management,front office and maintenance, are extremely kind and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that arise! 1414 is in the heart of a great city, lots to do, so much value living here. The building is full of amenities if you work from home you never have to leave you can even walk outside and there’s everything at the tip of your fingers. The views are breathtaking, the staff is great. The surrounding areas are easy to commute to. There’s no place like 1414, I love it here.

Absolutely love living here,at 1414 Texas Downtown! The staff are welcoming and professional! Christina was more than helpful with the entire process from initially touring the complex to leasing and move in! She is so warm and kind....I felt I was talking to an old friend I've known for years instead of a potential client. Brent always has a big smile on his face! I was so impressed how secure the entire complex is as well as the convenient location,great amenities and low noise levels.

Everything from the very beginning of searching for a unit to moving in was incredibly easy and did not take much effort whatsoever. The staff were very responsive to my questions/emails/phone calls. Highly recommend 1414 Texas Downtown.

Leaving both an internal and external review of my experience at 1414 to highlight this 5 star team, just, wow! The leasing, property, maintenance team and management's attention to detail has made moving to a new city, and my experience as a resident truly feel like home. Each department is absolutely incredible at their job! There are free workout classes in the gym twice a week (adding here there are cold towels just love that touch), property events, fun pop up food trucks and if something is happening nearby all we have to do is check the portal or our emails for a fun and friendly message from Brent or Madison and without a doubt, residents are always in the know! Such a genuine team, they even sent the cutest card for my birthday this year and those personal touches are what sets this team apart :) In regards to the overall property - the leasing team works quick with packages, requests... service requests by maintenance is also completed thoroughly, Carlos is always on top of everything! Also, from when you first enter the building to the community spaces, gym, and individual units - this property feels brand new and is alwways in tip top shape! There is security after leasing hours, plenty of parking, lots of working and leisure spaces in shared areas and the units keep out of sound which is such a huge plus. I must admit, I had lots of questions/ concerns living downtown about safety/ noise/ parking/ pet friendliness/ cleanliness before deciding to lease and now renew, and when going through the process Brent the assistant manager ensured no question was left unanswered. I feel like I found a hidden gym here in Houston with 1414 - all my friends comment on how considerate neighbors are, cleanliness, amenities and courteous the people here are. I even recently had a friend interested in applying after coming to visit and after she toured with Christine she fell in love with the property as well! As many people including myself now work from home - it's important to feel safe, and a sense of community and this property is just that. I've lived in different properties managed by different companies, this is my first time living at a Greystar property and the 1414 Texas staff sets the bar extremely high superseding my expectations as a renter.

So far so great. I moved in November. The staff is so friendly and cool. They go out of their way to help. Any issues that arise they take care of it as soon as they can. Im very happy here.

Moving from another State for a job without the opportunity to visit Houston first made this move a bit intimidating. Not only did 1414 Texas meet my needs. it trully went above my expectations. I have lived at this community going on 2 years now. The management Team is incredibly responsive, proactive and professional. The property is always well maintained and I am proud to entertain friends and family. I do not anticipate moving anywhere else in the near future - would highly recommend living here!
