The Apartment: This modernly furnished Jr. 1 bedroom apartment is super comfortable and has everything you need for your stay in San Francisco. It is perfect for anyone who is visiting for business or fun. The main sleeping/living area is outfitted with plenty of closet space, a comfy queen-sized bed, leather loveseat and flat-screen TV. There is a separate dining area with a table that can be used for both meals and as a work-space. The gas kitchen has all of the modern conveniences (microwave, blender, toaster, etc.) you could need, but retains many period details with high ceilings, curved doorways, a built-in hutch and cabinets, as well as an ironing board in the wall cupboard. There is even a claw-foot bathtub in the bathroom! This apartment is a great mixture of modern and SF charm. The Neighborhood: This cute apartment is located in a Victorian house one block from the hustle and bustle of the infamous Haight-Ashbury neighborhood and one block from the Panhandle. It is nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street with multiple lines of public transportation also only one block away. The Haight-Ashbury neighborhood is very vibrant and is renown for its role in the Summer of Love movement. The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Janis Joplin all lived in the neighborhood in the 60's. The neighborhood is now home to unique shops, vintage clothing stores, markets and a diverse selection of restaurants and bars/pubs. The neighborhood is also home to numerous gorgeous Victorians - a quintessential part of the San Francisco architecture. Additionally, there is plenty of green space nearby including the Panhandle, Buena Vista Park and Golden Gate Park. Golden Gate Park stretches all the way to the ocean and has many amazing nooks and crannies to explore on the way.
