About This Property
***********************Only End Users - No Realtors or Brokers Please*********************************** This spacious two bedroom/two bathroom condominium is conveniently located in downtown Washington, D.C. in a striking Victorian building in a historic neighborhood, at 150 Rhode Island Avenue, N.W. (Rhode Island Ave. NW and 2nd St.). The neighborhood has experienced complete gentrification over the past few years and is now one of the most desirable residential locations in the city. Coffee shops, bars, restaurants (Shaw's Tavern, El Camino, Crisp, and Boundary Stone, just to name a few), a Yoga studio, a bakery, and a dry cleaner are all steps away. The residence is also located within a short distance of the vibrant U street corridor. I am the original owner of the condominium, and it has been well-maintained. The neighbors are a diverse group of professional, friendly, quiet, and mature individuals. This apartment features genuine hardwood flooring throughout, a fireplace, window blinds, beautiful maple wood kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, state-of the-art stainless steel appliances including microwave oven, regular oven, dishwasher, new refrigerator/freezer with icemaker and water dispenser, and full size washer/dryer. The apartment also includes crown molding-trimmed ceilings, high-technology data jacks, a breakfast bar, ceiling fans, a new HVAC system, and a Jacuzzi-type bathtub. The building is protected by a new state-of-the-art access control system, including a video surveillance system. Additionally, the building has free storage space for bicycles and additional free private storage space designated for each unit. The tenant(s) has access to the courtyard/picnic area (including a grill), which is located directly in front of the building. Public transportation is easily accessible, as there are two subway stations within walking distance and a bus stop directly in front of the building. Ample street parking is also available. Utility expenses are not included in the leasing fee, but there is no additional fee for water. The apartment is available, beginning September 15 (flexible timing with move-in date). **************** NO PETS OF ANY KIND OR SIZE, PLEASE *************** Thank you very much.

Roughly two miles north of the eastern end of the National Mall, Bloomingdale is a small neighborhood of about 12 blocks. It extends from Channing Street south to Florida Avenue, on the southeast side of Howard University. Bloomingdale is literally picture-perfect -- it was even featured in the opening credits of the Netflix series, House of Cards. The colorful brownstones with turrets aren't all people love about this popular neighborhood. It is the location of Crispus Attucks Park, a popular green space with terrific views.
Bloomingdale contains two commercial districts. The first, along Rhode Island Avenue, is packed with bars and restaurants -- including popular favorites the Red Hen and Bacio Pizzeria. Florida Avenue and North Capitol Street also offer restaurants, bars, and a few other businesses. While Bloomingdale doesn't have its own Metro station, bus stops are scattered throughout the neighborhood, taking residents quickly to nearby stops or into downtown DC.
