Property Ratings at 159 Main
Best apartment complex that I have lived in. Nice apartments with good amenities in the middle of downtown Akron. The game changer is the staff. Lori does such a good job making you feel like you are at home. My dog since he was 3 months old and I would visit her every morning and she was always such a joy to be around. My dog also enjoyed the daily treats he would receive. Many memories were made and I will miss living at 159 Main.
I lived here for 1-year before I had to move for work. I've I didn't havwe to move I would have stayed here for many years. These apartments are amazing. Totally updated and remodeled. High-tech features and systems throughout building. Management is fast and responsive! I looked at many buildings and apartments in the area before I leased this one and this building was the best! Great location too.
159 provided me with a MUCH needed three month lease when the 401 lofts would not and left me out to dry. 159 is an EXCELLENT place to live with excellent, kind staff who genuinely care about their tenants. VERY kind. Monica and Lori and both excellent. I would highly recommend this residence. Maintenance staff Mr. Givens is also kind and excellent. A great place to live.
Enjoyed my 1 year stay, wish I could've stayed longer.
Lived at 159 S. Main for 2+ years. It was a great experience. Units are top notch, comfortable and cozy. Highly recommended! But more importantly the level of service is outstanding. The local and broader support team is extremely responsive, committed and dedicated.
We needed a place within walking distance of work in downtown Akron (the First Energy building) and decided to rent at 159 S, Main after looking at several other properties. The property is a great mix of modern (the apartment units themselves are stylish and up to date), old (the building was completed in 1911), convenient (it is connected to the Akron Skywalk system) and quirky (the building has a trapezoidal shape, not a rectangular one). The property manager is local – not remote – and she and her team really make the effort to get to know their tenants. You don’t feel like just another number on the books of some remote corporate entity somewhere. If our work location wasn’t changing, we would definitely be staying. It’s a wonderful property and we highly recommend it to anyone thinking about downtown Akron.
This place is amazing. The apartment is very comfortable and the people who works there are always willing to help. Lori finds the way to go above and beyond while making us feel comfortable. She was very kind and loving to my kids and myself. At the beginning I thought it was because of us, but later I realized it was the same with everyone. Glen, María and Melissa the same. If something arise, even if it wasn't related to the apartment, they will jump to give advise and help. I only have words of gratitude for the time I rented at 159 S main. Thank you!
This apartment is seriously the coolest place I've ever stayed at! It's got this modern vibe that's totally refreshing, and the staff is just awesome. They're always super communicative, helpful, and they even throw in free events for us. Every time I see them, they've got a big smile on their faces and a fantastic attitude. And don't even get me started on the amenities—they've got it all covered. Plus, it's literally right across the street from Lock 3, where all the best festivals and events go down. Trust me, you won't find a better spot than this!
After the college, I came to Akron to start off my job. I had no idea of where I should stay and I found this place. I'm glad I did because I think it's one of the best apartments in the area. Although I was new to Akron / Ohio, I never had an issue with where I stay. The community includes people just like me (young professionals / students). Also, there are a bunch of activities during summer. You can find restaurants / bars / cafes just around the corner. The reason why I stopped living there is that I just wanted to move to Cleveland area. Overall, this is one of the best experiences you would have in Akron.
I’ve lived in 159 Main for around 18 months and hands down no other apartment in Akron can beat 159 Main in any aspect. This has become our home sweet home for all these days. It has an amazing view to downtown with huge windows, cleaner apartments I’ve ever seen and also has a modern kitchen design. It has awesome facilities including Gym, Coffee Bar, Theater Room, Bike room any many more. These apartments have good safety measures including cameras all around the place, has latch smart lock system to get in and to operate elevator. The staff which includes Lori, Monica and Glen were amazing, friendly, patient and responds very well and quick. They always make your special days much more special with their kind gestures and gift. Without a doubt THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE.
I lived at 159 main for a little over a year. After living in many apartments I can definitely say that 159 main is an amazing place to live. The staff were responsive and friendly, and I always enjoyed having a conversation with them! The apartment was beautiful, after living there I honestly would recommend it to anyone! The residents are also super friendly and the place is generally quiet… oh and the place is super pet friendly if you have a dog :) the leasing office has treats for them too!! The only reason I moved was due to business taking me outside of Akron. Otherwise I would have stayed at this place for a very long time. I’ll definitely miss living here. ??
I have lived here for the past year and honestly I am so glad I moved here. It’s great community. Everyone is very friendly and respectful of another. I have never had any problems or issues since I moved here.
APARTMENTS.COM REVIEW A Home Sweet Home! This has been a great place to stay. It’s become our home away from home. We are from Pennsylvania and have rented here short term at 159Main so that we could be near our family in Akron for several months. I am SO thankful to have discovered this beautiful, safe, clean, hospitable, and inviting place to stay. The Fantastic Staff includes Lori and Joy as apartment managers. We rented a furnished apartment which Lori decorated so well. Lori’s Incredibly warm personality makes her a perfect welcoming host and manager. Joy came on board a few weeks before we left and we realized that she, too, is such a positive asset to the community at 159Main. We also appreciated Glen in Maintenance for his know-how and his kind, helpful spirit. Another shout out goes to Monica working behind the scenes in leasing and the business perspective of the rentals. She was helpful as well as patient with us. Lastly, I appreciated the social hours that the staff held periodically. My husband and I were able to meet some of the other tenants and it was a delight to later recognize a familiar face in the hall or elevator and exchange greetings. Can you tell I loved living here? Yes Yes Yes!
My experience at 159 Main-Akron apartments was a very pleasant one. I stayed 5 months - this January til the end of May. The apartment was clean and modern. Any maintenance problems were fixed immediately. The administrative staff was very willing to help us at every turn and made it very easy to get started. Also, the Latch App was available through them to give us good security. I would recommend 159 Main as a Very Good Place to Live. I give it 5 stars for sure
My family stayed at 159 Main for five weeks on a short term lease this summer while I recovered from surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Akron. The apartment was more than we could ever ask for! The building is beautiful with amazing views all around. The building amenities are top notch. The convenient parking and Bluetooth key/security made us feel very safe, no matter the time—day or night. The shops and restaurants on Main Street, all within 5 minutes walking distance are wonderful, and we had such a good time walking a few blocks to see the Akron Rubber Ducks play at Canal Park! The biggest shout out goes to Lori, Joy and Monica for making our time in Akron very welcoming and friendly. Traveling across several states for surgery and recovery is a huge undertaking, but with the help of the staff at 159 Main, our arrival and 5-week stay was just about as easy as it could be. You were all so helpful and kind! Thank you so much for everything!
Best apartment I have ever lived in! The rooms are gorgeous, the kitchen is well appointed and spacious, and I love the big windows. Everything is new and works extremely well. Most importantly, the staff is phenomenal. I have never met nicer people. They certainly take extremely good care of the building and the tenants here. I would recommend this apartment building highly.
I just graduated from college and this is my first apartment, and I absolutely love it! The building is newly renovated and even though they're still adding some amenities (the gym, for example), the building is clean, quiet, and peaceful. As a young woman living alone, I was very concerned about safety. I've been here a little over a month and I feel totally safe in this building and in my apartment. Everyone on staff is super helpful, responsive, and friendly. Plus, the location is unbeatable- close to the University, to the Toe Path, right across from Lock 3 where there's events almost every weekend, and only blocks away from tons of fun bars and restaurants.
I moved to 159 Main a month ago, returning to Akron after 30 years. It's been great. I love my studio apartment, which feels spacious and lofty. The design, the fixtures and finishes are all very elevated and thoughtful. A lovely mix of modern in this vintage building. The staff has been very helpful; Lori is very attentive to things being just right, and Glenn the maintenance supervisor is a gem. As a new building, they are still finishing and adding amenities (like the gym), but it's exciting to watch it all develop. The unexpected gold mine here is the close access to the Towpath Trail--gorgeous. I recommend. Gary R.
I've only been here for a little over one month and everyone from staff to fellow tenants have been friendly. I have contacted the staff with numerous questions (my first apartment in 40 years) and they are very responsive and take the time to explain things. Great location downtown. Could not have picked a better place to live! Thank you Lori, Glen and staff, Phil
My husband and I have been here for almost 2 months and we love it here! It’s absolutely beautiful! Lori + the rest of the staff are also so kind. We had a lovely little welcome bag with coupons + things to do around here. We noticed on weekends, we can see fireworks from the Rubber Ducks stadium and it’s become our favorite part of the week ?? Were so thankful to call this place home!
As a new renter in Akron, it’s a beautiful place to be, within walking distance to some of the most significant attractions in the city. It’s a 10 minute walk from the university, with a parking garage, and right next to a bus stop. It’s brand new, the provided cabinets and islands are gorgeous, and the place is basically a smart home, with a lot of functions controllable with your phone or remote. The staff have all been consistently super sweet and helpful, and it’s the best place I’ve rented by far.
It is has stunning interiors, indoor parking, washer and dryer in each suite, and has the historic charm but totally modern interior. The place to be!
