Advertising is deceptive. My grandson rented a one bedroom. He traveled from Florida to Chesterfield MO, yesterday and checked into is one bedroom apart that was totally unlike the apartments shown in their advertising. Appliances old, carpeting throughout apartment, no wood tile, no marble counter tops..Old fashion...not modern without and disclosure from management. We trusted their website presentation...DON"T MAKE THAT MISTAKE.
Mold in both units i lived in, bare minimum was done to fix it, overpriced for the way they run the place and handle issues. Nothing good about living here except the location. Do not move here you will regret it!
I lived at Westmont until the end of August of 2019 and it has been by far the worst apartment complex. Before I moved in, Ashley was supposed to do a walk-through beforehand, but since the apartment being "renovated" I was unable to do a walk-through until the day before my move in. On the day before Ashley notified me she was unable to show the apartment due to a personal matter. When I finally opened the door, a strong smell of cigarettes covered the apartment, the floors, bathroom, cabinets and appliances weren't even cleaned. I tried calling the office numerous times about these issues and left messages, but no one answered for days. When I finally did reach someone I was told to use their online system for any issues, since they can't take work orders over the phone. After putting in multiple tickets for the walls missing paint, the broken porch light that was hanging by a wire and broken screen door you would think it would get corrected, but you would be wrong. These issues should've been done before we moved in, but even after going up to the office and speaking with Tammy (Property Manager) the only thing that was fixed was the missing paint in multiple rooms. If you plan on living here the only way to get anything done at this apartment complex to speak to them in person multiple times about the same issue. After having numerous issues that were never resolved we decided to part ways with Westmont. Shortly before our move out date we were notified by a note on our door that the apartment was going to be completed updated and someone needed to take measurements for the new floors and cabinets. When I dropped off the keys during the move out I told the employee that I would like to be present for the walk-through and I was told that they would contact me with the time and date. I was never contacted for the walk-through which is required per Missouri tenant laws. This makes me wonder if they even got an occupancy permit. We cleaned the apartment and took all of the trash out, but whenever I got a letter in the mail with anticipation of the security deposit, I was notified that we were being charged $75 for damages and trash and also they were charging us around $700 for carpets, which were the same carpets I was notified they were replacing before I moved out. I took a video of the whole apartment after I cleaned the place. We are refuting these charges with Westmont and have video proof that their claim is erroneous.
Not maintained properly, worst maintenance takes for ever to resolve minor issues and keeps running in circles. Got apartment which has un completed maintenance and was not notified until moved in. Every time you call leasing office each person blames others and all you hear is words but no action. Un trusty people Place is more like a trash.

I don't even know where to begin, a couple months ago I put my deposit down on a apartment before my official move in date i was told that the apartment i was going to get was no long available.. my apartment/layout was switched 3 times before i moved in. I have NO idea what kind of apartment i was about to get tied into. move in day comes and i do the normal walk through with one of the workers, she "checked" the washer and dryer and said they work.. there was other problems she pointed out that STILL have no been fixed after i have been living here for months. My dryer was broken for the entire first month i lived there. So i had to make other arrangements to do my laundry. I tried to get in contact with the office via phone calls and emails. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer out of any of the workers or let alone get someone to pick up the phone. Another, issue i am having is I have been charged since i moved in for a bill that i clearly have proof of.. i was told i would be refunded my money.. it is now a MONTH later and i have yet to get a refund.. or even a phone call back. Also i am still being charged for this bill. This place is very unprofessional and not worth the money you pay to live here, if i could take it back I would. this place is so awful Im considering breaking my lease. AVOID this place at all cost... i wish i was able to rate it negative stars.

My apartment wasn't ready when it was time for me to move in. The leasing agents were very helpful and tried to ease the pain of the incompetent maintenance crew. The manager (Tammy) was hands off and non existent. Getting a hold of her was next to impossible, and when I did speak to her she was rude and would not work with me. She expected expenses to come out of my pocket when it was her crew that couldn't resolve the issue. Other issues of contention, the A/C in the fitness center has been out for almost a year making it unbearably hot to work out in the summertime. Richard the maintenance manager doesn't know how to manage his team. The fountain in the pond on the property went out almost a year ago, making the wildlife ever more present and the pond a cesspool. They maintenance do not check lighting of common areas. Going to the pool at night you risk breaking an ankle, same with checking your mail.
Over my stay, I have had to deal with mice issues, water leakage, constant bugs. On top of that, if you miss the note they "left at my door" months ago saying I have 60 days to tell them I am not renewing. They will try to charge you nearly $3,000 fee to LEAVE. What a joke. It's cheap for a reason, not worth it.
BEWARE!!! AVOID THIS COMPLEX AT ALL COSTS! This is my first time living in an apartment and my roommate and I moved in about a month ago and it's been a nightmare ever since. Just a few things we've had problems with: They were late giving my roommate keys (she moved in a day before I did) and she ended up having to move in by herself in the dark. Misquoting our rent on our lease, overcharging us until I pointed it out. Not adding my roommates student discount like they said they would. Not cleaning our apartment before we moved in (absolutely disgusting in there. Hair in the tub, dirty counters, piles of grime around the cracks in the fridge, washer/dryer, stove. Dirty windowsills with dried up food on them, dead bugs in the kitchen, etc.). WE had to clean it. They didn't fix anything before we moved in. There was a crack in the wall behind the fridge, outlets not working, tub not draining, doors getting stuck, medicine cabinet and towel rack not being installed as promised, dishwasher leaking to the point where we needed our carpet extracted. We've spotted carpet beetles, roaches and had a mouse in our apartment. Our mailbox was broken and we couldn't get it open to check mail so a lot of our mail got sent back. We had to pay rent Dec 1st, but they only charged us $84 and it took a day for them to fix it. Now it's fixed and they've overcharged us. They also agreed to credit us $100 for not doing their part and cleaning or fixing the apartment, but didn't. And it's now Sunday and the last day we have in our grace period to pay rent so we have to overpay to avoid the late fee. Roommate called the office today and they said there was nothing they could do about it, pay the rent or incur a late fee, and talk to their manager tomorrow. Not only that, but it's extremely hard to get a hold of anyone in the office. They never answer their phone and never call back when you leave a voicemail. You have to walk over to the leasing office for them to talk to you. Or email them, but that doesn't guarantee a reply. That being said, maintenance is apparently in a slow time of year and has been pretty responsive to our calls for fixing things. But the issue is that problems keep arising and it's never ending. We have to contact them atleast 3x a week since we have been here. If I could give zero stars I would. Don't move in here. I wish I could get out of this lease. We've only been here for less than a month.

We recently moved in and have been blown away! Aside from the property being incredible and always clean we have amazing neighbors and the office staff is way beyond helpful! They go far above and beyond. The few things we wanted to change about our unit were even put into work orders and done within just a few days.

I wanted to live in the normal layout, but when I came in to sign the lease for the unit I had been told was available, I was told I could only live in a unit with a different layout. This half-of-a-corner 2 bed, 2 bath unit is very poorly laid out. There is no linen closet, all guests must go through a bedroom to use a bathroom, the kitchen is tiny and the whole apartment is full of strange angles that really make the ~1,000 square feet seem much smaller. I have had so many maintenance problems that I can no longer keep track of them. The AC unit has leaked multiple times all over the carpet in our hall closet. We only notice the issue when the closet is totally saturated and numerous items are ruined. We have also had water leaking in by the sliding back door more than 8 times, whenever there's a heavy rain. Each time we complain, maintenance claims it's a different issue. "The roof is damaged, the unit above you has a damaged patio, etc." Maintenance put a loud dehumidifier in our apartment for a couple days and called it good. Multiple times the padding beneath the carpet was not replaced, as is required to prevent mold. Once they just painted over the water stains creeping up toward the electrical outlets. On top of that, we have a light switch that heats up and spews water. First, they would replace the cover and clean out the dust. When it happened again and again, they would paint over the heat damaged paint. After we called Fogelman Management group, the maintenance supervisor came over to explain why all of their staff did everything wrong and how it wouldn't happen again. When it happened again, we called the St. Louis housing inspector because of this obvious fire hazard, and they told Westmont they had to come out when it was happening no matter the time of day or night. It happened again around 11 pm, and they refused to show up. I feel as though I’m living in danger here, and plan on leaving as soon as I can.
I love my apartment, but I would like for it to be bigger. I'm going through a divorce, so this is what I can afford.
West County has been a pleasure place to come home to. It's an active and involved community with Concerts in the local parks. Bike races in the neighborhood. We have all of the conveniences of having everything you need right in our neighborhood such as churches, grocery shopping, Chesterfield Mall, St Louis County Public library, West County YMCA, Walmart..... The clubhouse is beautiful with a pool and fitness center/racquetball court. The common areas are well groomed and the grounds include a sand volleyball court and covered parking. The apartments are very spacious and have a large variety of floor plans. The staff is always professional and effecient. I have enjoyed living in the Westmont Apartments at Chesterfield. Joyce A. Apartment complex is nice and good option for students like me as there are 2 master bedroom floor plans. However, our mistake was to rent top floor. Our electricity bill is in rages of $200-250, which is expensive for us.
