PLEASE CHECK LOCATION ON MAP BEFORE SENDING ENQUIRY, UP IN THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS!!! 12 MILES FROM LG OR CAPITOLA Hi, we have a 1 bedroom standalone redwood apartment/house to rent, in the extremely beautiful and tranquil Santa Cruz Mountains, with use of one side of the underneath 2 car deep garage. (other side holds personal storage but used infrequently). Cottage style with redwood vaulted ceilings and cream walls throughout. Redwood featured kitchen and bathroom with shower. 2 Large walk in closets and large pantry in kitchen. Extremely quaint with circular turret style stair entryway. Have unused stables underneath so extra storage, you can use, if kept tidy. Heating is a wood burning stove in the lounge and main rooms have ceiling fans. Trees around the property add dappled shade. With the drought - only very, water conservation conscious need apply. We have a limited septic system so single occupancy preferred though may consider quiet couple. House is opposite main house with shared driveway so privacy and quietness is a must for both owner and tenant. Has washer/dryer, dish washer, fridge/freezer, cooker. Property is located off Redwood Lodge Road, which is off Soquel Road (Off Summit Road). This road leads to Capitola about 11 miles down the mountain and is also about 12 miles from Los Gatos (via the 17), so very well situated for both work and play. The famous flow trail for mountain biking is close and we are close to 6 wineries. Pets possibly considered to the right tenant with excellent references though prefer without because of past inconsiderate tenants but professional carpet cleaning requirement annually as per the contract. (no excessively barking dogs and if a cat then indoor only and non spraying, which will be checked at mid lease inspection) IMPORTANT NOTE: Owner lives on property so complete privacy during tenancy is a must, though issues dealt with via email/text. Please, PLEASE look at the location before you apply as we have had so so so many time wasters. It appears to be far out but only takes me 20 mins to be in Los Gatos and 10 mins to be at the beach (driving in beautiful settings AND not at rush hour though this only adds another 15) Our local summit store is 2/3 miles up the road and is better than most chain supermarkets with fresh sushi made up, meat counter, coffee bar, English section, wine section, fresh veg etc. Lastly the stars at night are amazing and the air quality is indescribable but you have to appreciate mountain living, laid back, quietness, hardly any crime, nature on your doorstep, so if you enjoy the city hustle and bustle, noise, nosey neighbors and 10 nail bars and every corner then please don't apply. Tenant is currently in residence so please be specific with times for viewing and please try to be punctual to avoid unnecessary inconvenience for her. Searches $40 (actual smart move fee) each to be paid with application though may be able to have the search site charge the applicant. Please provide copy of drivers license and wage slips for proof of employment, salary and ID.
