Property Ratings at 162TEN
Staff is friendly, helpful, responsive. Common areas are kept clean and neat. No maintenance issues with apartment while I was there. No noise problems.
I've been delighted with my stay in this amazing apartment since July 2023. I'm thrilled to extend my lease and possibly stay longer. The application process was effortless, and Alex provided efficient and accommodating service. Both Alex and Kellan, the property managers, have been wonderfully kind and attentive, providing exceptional customer service. They promptly address any questions or concerns. The staff is friendly and fantastic! The building spaces are impeccably clean and well-kept, with cozy common kitchen areas and adorable, functional music and art rooms. The apartment's location is ideal, close to everything. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found this apartment and highly recommend it."
They don’t maintain the doors in the building and they all slam. All day and all night. The floor above me and the floor below. Sometimes so loud it wakes you from a sound sleep.
I lived here for a summer. Good, semi-cheap studio apartments. I had to sign without visiting the place, and I was kind of disappointed when I got there. There are cons that the listing doesn't cover. Overall it was acceptable. They changed their short-term lease policy right before I signed, which wasn't great, unless they change it back it may not be the best for short-term. Pros: - Cheap-ish for the area. - New building. Everything is nice and clean, appliances all in great condition. - Walking distance from grocery stores, restaurants, parks. Right next to the transit center, lots of easily accessible bus routes. - Quiet (aside from the garage door). - Comes with great internet. - Furnishings: simple desk and chair, bed frame and mattress, microwave, mini fridge and freezer. Good laundry machines in the hallway. Cons - Floors are cement in the units and most common rooms. It's mostly smooth but has a lot of small bumps, never looks clean because of the spots and non-uniform color. Makes the rooms echo a lot. - No sink in the bathroom. There is only a tiny (maybe 9" by 12") sink in the kitchenette. - No AC. In the summer my room got up to the upper 80s, but I think there's only a few weeks out of the year that are bad. - Heating is through the floor, and takes 24 hours to reach the temperature you set. - Some rooms have twin sized beds. You have to ask. - No closet or dresser. Some wall-mounted shelves are provided. - There are common kitchens, but the fridges are each entirely taken up by 4 tenants who put large plastic boxes full of their food in them, so you generally have to carry all your stuff up from your room. You can't leave dishes or cooking utensils there unless you are OK with anyone in the building using them (according to the property manager). I just bought a hot plate to use in my room.
