As one of the best neighborhoods to live in Grand Rapids, Fulton Heights provides urban living with a suburban feel. Filled with tree-lined streets and sidewalks, Fulton Heights has a variety of mid-range and upscale rental options. Residents in this family-friendly locale enjoy having access to good schools and lush parks, but Fulton Heights is best known for its strong sense of community. The Hillcrest Community Garden in the center of the neighborhood is one of the biggest community gardens in the city and led to the creation of the Fulton Heights neighborhood association. As you walk around the neighborhood, you’ll see children playing outside, people walking their dogs to the Hillcrest Dog Park in Fuller Park or chatting with neighbors on their front porches. Although Fulton Heights is predominately residential, the neighborhood boasts an amazing location giving residents access to amenities within walking distance or a short drive from their homes.
