Worst Landlord Experience Ever

Landlord “stuck his head” into the apartment three times without prior notice to check on the showability of the space. When he determined that it was not appropriately orderly, he was very condescending in correspondence. He then took $300+ out of my security deposit as a result of my “very messy” (the actual itemized receipt listing)apartment preventing him from showing it. Again, did not provide date/time of showings. Did not respond to any contact about upkeep/repair, even a text sent on the very first day. Was generally unkind and disrespectful. Apartment did not get above 66° during the month of January, even with radiator open. The location is convenient, but the parking is challenging and the cons far outweigh the pros. Do not move in here unless you have no other choice.

DO NOT LIVE HERE

Decent location, but so not worth your time. Worst management experience I've ever had. The landlord scammed me and my roommate out of $700 of our deposit, claiming that we needed to pay him for a water bill because we "didn't tell him it was leaking". He also refused to let us conduct the walkthrough with him and claimed that he had to spend "6 hours cleaning" the apartment after we left which is obviously a lie since my roommate and I cleaned everything before moving out. Generally a piece of garbage place to live.

Awful

The location is nice. Everything else is awful. I joined an existing tenant and never received a copy of my lease despite the rent increasing for my joining. I requested a copy of the lease with my name on it (that I needed for personal reasons) and never received it. Never even received a response regarding my inquiry. The unit did not have a vent in the kitchen or the bathroom. Smells accumulate due to lack of air flow. The fridge leaked water constantly. The wall trim was falling off throughout the apartment which I was then charged for upon moving out. You have to get laundry tokens from the landlord and he takes his sweet time bringing them to you. Forget that you need clean clothes or that accidents may occur because when you ask him for coins he will act like you’re inconveniencing him and make comments like “Did I not just give you coins last week?”. One time I was going on 8 days of waiting for laundry tokens and eventually had no choice but to go to the laundromat. The laundry set up in general sucks. Two washers and one dryer, one washer was broken for nearly half of my time living here. The apartment is SMALL and lacks character. Overpriced and under-managed. I was charged $125 for a “stove cleaning” upon moving out AS IF the stove was even clean when I moved in. Upon moving in, the drains were full of hair and bobby pins from the previous tenant. The lease outlines that drain cleaning is the tenant responsibility- spent hundreds on a plumber to unclog both the kitchen and the bath tub drain. Literally live anywhere else but here.

Poor

To be fair the building is in a pretty nice location, but the building is old and the service sucks... and they over charge when you leave, in other words, forget about your deposit! They charged me $150 for oven cleaning!!
