Property Ratings at 1771 Highland Place
This complex is outrageously priced with a pool that was taken away, elevators that are years out of date and shaking severely. Dozens of broken amenities within the apartment that take months to get fixed. The management is a total mess and I would avoid this apartment as much as possible, it could be an actual life hazard at worst and a frustrating waste of money at best.
Located very close to campus, which is great for students at UCB. Rooftop also has a great view of the bay. However, after living there a few months, I’ve experienced more issues with the apartment than I should for the money. I would avoid all brick and timber properties.
Neighbor to a beautifully lush Tibetan monestary, this apartment complex is close enough to campus to walk but far enough away to avoid the noise of all the students. With an amazing landlord who is both attentive and kind, you can sit out on the patio and enjoy the music from the Greek Theater just down the street. Complete with a sweeping rooftop view of the whole Bay Area, this serene and stunning apartment feels both like home and my own vacation get away.
