Property Ratings at 1811 Tamarind Apartments
There’s 5 total washing machines but 2-3 stop working at a time. If the machines aren’t working then they leak all over the washroom floor. Maintenance is at will, not everyday. Management sends passive aggressive emails and texts about the package room and parking, but isn’t concerned about the smoke smelling hallways, roaches in public walkways, or excessive construction being done in every possible corner of the property. Do not pay to live here unless you’re desperate.
I tried to call for information on availability and they hung up on me. Not very professional or welcoming.
I’ve been living here for 5yrs! and there is still no parking nor Parkin permits for local residents in the area ! Roach are every where ! The elevator breaks for every 2 months ! And I’d youre not care you will and can get stuck it it! Meanwhile the land lord has 4-5 parking spots at the bak whic she doesn’t occupy at all! This is ridiculous! You ask for things to get done around the building and it doesn’t ! They take their time ! New management right ??? No ! It’s not it’s terrible ! I would not even have my gold fish living in that old sss building ! Homeless people come on and sleep etc etc ! Unsafe !

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LIVING HERE!! I have not been accommodated better than this company. They are a small family operated property management company that really goes above and beyond the industry standards in order to make each tenant feel extra special. I am absolutely in love with my Manager. He has done an amazing job running the building and making sure that all the issues get resolved immediately. Over the past 4 years they have made great changes to the building, like paint tile and landscaping, etc. and now the building feels updated and looks better too. I would recommend everyone to stay in one of their properties!! 5 Stars!!
Ever since i have moved into one of Diico's Properties I have enjoyed my stay and have never had any issues with the management. They are professional, courteous and most of all very honest and straight forward. I have had many small items in my unit repaired in a very professional and timely manner. They have a great system in place where tenants feel very comfortable and have an open dialogue with the management. I have always enjoyed my stay and would recommend anyone in the LA area to live in one of their properties. Highly recommended!! Great work DIICO!! :))
The best things are that it's in a good neighborhood, where lots of stores and shops are in convenient walking distance. It has rent control and the price is a slightly lower than many other buildings. The bad things are it's right next to a noisy & dirty freeway. It was originally a hotel built in '62 which makes it not as desirable compared to places built as apartments. The owner has made so called improvements only for the purpose of being able to increase the rental rates. He did some remodeling about ten years ago that resulted lots of damage like flooding and the power lines being messed up. He hired sloppy, vandalizing & obnoxious help to paint the building and put in a new pool, when it didn't need painting & nothing wrong with the pool, pretty much a white wash to increase the rent.
