1820 South Apartments

Love living here! I feel safe and comfortable in my unit. The staff is wonderful very attentive, quick, and friendly! Definitely plan to renew my lease!

I have been living here for a few months now, and it’s been super pleasant. Maintenance responds quickly and efficiently, the neighborhood is nice and clean!

We have been pleased with our overall time at 1820. The whole staff is a major strength. They are friendly, personable and efficient in carrying out their responsibilities. The outdoor pool has been an appreciated bonus. The other community members have been friendly, considerate with quality character and respect for others.

1820 was excellent. I recently ended my stay due to some life changes, but I recommend them to anyone who wants a quiet, friendly home. They really were terrific.

Only been here a week, so I’m still adjusting. So far it’s been nice. I really like my apartment’s location, the proximity to the dog area, and especially being on the ground floor. I’m 76, and I don’t do stairs very well, especially with my dog, Buddy, who feels he needs to go out often.

The staff have been very helpful with whatever I need. Everyone is always so friendly!

Everyone seems nice noise is kept down and very nice apartments!!I love the access to a pool, gym room, basketball court, volleyball court and all the parking spaces. Quality of apartments are just beautiful.

Nice apartment complex bedrooms and the apartment is very spacious in general the place is a little bit pricy but definitly like it here done it is out of the college apartments!

Great experience and excellent facilities. Everyone seems friendly. The staff is very communicative and friendly to talk to. Easy to work with.

Everything here has been really nice so far. It feels like a nice community. My only critique would be that I wish there were elevators here but that's about it.

Move in process was easy and the office was extremely helpful. The apartment is in very nice condition and it came with a carport included in rent, no complaints so far. I haven't used the club house amenities yet with the gym and pool, but I look forward to testing them out.

1820 is a great, quiet community. The management is friendly and always helpful. It’s a short commute to CMU’s campus, whether you want to drive, bike, or walk. Definitely recommend!

1820 South Apartments have a wonderful team who take time to listen and help which makes living here a great place to be.

1820 South has been a welcoming, kind community. The amenities are tidy and clean. The apartment is very spacious, and I appreciate the amount of storage space provided as well. Parking is easy and convenient. This autumn my dog and I have been enjoying the dog park, and taking walks around the pond. Additionally, I appreciate how well lit the community is at night!

Amazing community and awesome management, little expensive but worth it with all the extras that come to being apart of the community such as the pool, dog park, basketball court and the pond.

1820 has the best communication I have received from any property I've rented from. The staff is fast to respond and very helpful all around!

I like the size of the apartment, the two bathrooms in the 2 bedroom units. The kitchens are a decent size for an apartment kitchen. Plenty of cupboard space and I like the inside mailboxes.

Im very happy with my apartment, management (Amber) and the maintenance guys. Everybody is very professional. Ive had only a few maintenance requests and they have been handled by the next day. So glad, I found my home!

The 2 bedroom apartment has a lot of space for the rent amount, apartment was very clean at move-in. The office staff helped through the rental process and went over and above. I had not rented since 1990 and was totally unfamiliar with the process. They have communicated very well during COVId19 with needs and restrictions.

I found the staff very helpful with the application process. I have not rented an apartment for over 35 years, I was displaced because of the flood and my home is not livable. Amber and other staff helped me navigate the process and answered my many questions. .

An excellent place to live, staff are very friendly and helpful. Close to everything you need but with a country feel. I have lived here about 3 years now and love it.

A wonderful family and pet friendly community , with the nicest staff, and friendly neighbors. The rent isnt awful, but for what we pay, we get an awesome sense of security and a fabulous place to call home!

Do not trust Country Place Apartments, the management only cares about one thing and it is not their customer’s satisfaction. Also be careful when you leave a deposit for first month’s rent, because if you don’t qualify, they will not refund your deposit for two months. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen.

We have lived here for a year and love our apartment and the management. The apartment itself is a little out dated and no utilities are included. They allow dogs and have a pool and decent gym.

Great maintenance and management staff. They treat us like family and go above and beyond. Price is high but I enjoy living somewhere that I feel comfortable and safe.

My fiancee and I have lived at Country Place for 1 and a half years and we truly have enjoyed it. The staff is wonderful and my apartment is gorgeous. It feels like a home. We will stay at Country Place until we are ready to own a house!

This apartment is in the perfect spot in Mt Pleasant, Michigan. It's in walking distance from the Cabin, which is great because my husband and I can have a date night and not have to worry about who has to drive since we both like to enjoy their 32 oz mixed drinks for $6 and scrumptious pizza! It is also close, but not too close to the CMU campus, which is great if you're taking classes there or just want to be a part of their festivities. Walmart, Kroger, and all the other shopping areas are also pretty close by. The staff are super helpful and they usually have community events every now and again so that you're able to meet your neighbors. Plus, the apartment itself is pretty awesome. Bedrooms are pretty spacious and they have a small fitness room you can go to, plus the pool and lounge area for your convenience. It's really the perfect spot to be in.

Country place apartments like any apartments have pros and cons. The pros are there is a swimming pool,excersize room and basketball court.there's also a pond in the back. Animals are allowed for a fee. It was very simple to sign all the paper work and move in, the staff is very nice and helpful. There are plenty of dumpsters, It's very clean and there is plenty of parking. The cons are when we first moved in there wasn't any heat but it was fixed right away. When we bought a new couch we couldn't fit it in the door way so we set it on the porch till we figured something out and we were told we couldn't keep it on there. I don't like all the rules here but I don't have a choice till I find somewhere else. You have a designated parking spot. You have to have renters insurance or they will evict you. When we first moved in it was winter and all the bugs were coming in from outside. Our walls are kinda thin we can here people climbing the stairs in the hallway, the people above us and next to us. And when the mail lady comes also the neighbors dogs barking. We can hear people shut the doors to there cars in the parking lot and at night there lights come right thru the windows because you can only have white curtains. Also You and 8 others share 2 washers and 2 dryers, You cant use coins in them you have to buy a card in the excersize room and put money on that it's a 1.50 per load. Another thing is you have to pay dte and consumers and they don't charge you for water till the 3rd month,And rents due on the first of every month. Rents due on the first, late on the 2nd and add a 10% late fee on the 3rd and start giving out eviction notices on the 4th-7th. VERY STRICT here.

Pretty nice place to live. Overall quiet and clean. Nice staff. Pretty expensive though. You can obviously get a place much cheaper but it won't be as nice.
