Fans of HGTV's "Fixer Upper" are already familiar with Waco, a fast-growing city along the Brazos River in central Texas. But long before Chip and Joanna Gaines began remodeling the city one fixer-upper at a time, Waco was attracting savvy residents looking for a home deep in the heart of Texas. Downtown Waco is where the city began, growing around the iconic Waco Suspension Bridge, completed in 1870. The bridge is located in downtown's Indian Spring Park, with Doris D. Miller Park on the other side of the bridge. Indian Spring Park is the site of Waco's original settlement. Today, in addition to the bridge, the park contains the "Branding the Brazos" Sculpture and a riverwalk.
In addition to Magnolia Market at the Silos, Waco is home to the Dr. Pepper Museum, the Earle-Napier-Kinnard House, Cameron Park Zoo, and Baylor University. The soft drink Dr. Pepper was invented in Waco in 1906, and the museum is a popular tourist destination.

Property Ratings at 19Eleven
The way I was treated at this apartment complex has been weighing on me so here I am, leaving a review 2 years later because I do not want to stay quiet about this. 2 days after signing the lease to this apartment complex my spouse graduated college and got a life changing job offer that forced us to relocate to California. We were so excited but also stressed because we had literally JUST signed a lease here. I called the 1911 explaining our situation, understanding that leases are binding and time was put into the process, so they were most likely going to keep our deposit or request severance pay. They were not in the slightest empathetic towards our situation, refused to give us a severance amount and told us we were responsible for our rent until another tenant rented the same unit out. I refused to even pick up our keys so they wouldn’t be able to ATTEMPT to keep our deposit. We paid rent here AND in California for 3 months. ALL 3 months they tried to also charge us for utilities. I called them every single time and told them I have never picked up the keys, let alone FLUSHED A TOILET in there?! They would argue with me and then eventually remove the charges. I had to call and complain every single time. AT LAST, 3 months later, they called us and told us our unit got rented out so we were released from having to pay rent further. We paid over $1000 in pet fees and pet deposits that they refused to give back to us. I told them I never picked up the key and that my pets never stepped a PAW into that place. The lady on the phone told me it didn’t matter and that she basically didn’t care. Literally ZERO humanity from these people. I was trying not to cry and told her “Y’all sure got a LOT of money from us.” And she responded with “Y’all sure got a lot of money back.” I couldn’t believe she said that to me. I have never been so angry in my life. I have never had such a horrible and disrespectful experience with an apartment complex before. I am understanding that a lease is a lease but if you read all of this you will understand that their treatment and the way they handled things surpassed anything respectful or fair.
They do not return your deposits!! It’s an old building that has numerous problems. It takes weeks to fix them. We didn’t have AC for 3 weeks in the middle of summer. Leaking pipes. Management is constantly changing.
I have lived at 1911 Condos now for almost a year, and I have got to say that it has been really disappointing. The last thing I want to do is write a bad review, but I feel that it is necessary to inform people about this place. There are no carpets, except for in the bedrooms. The floors are just solid concrete, which is great in the summer. However, in the winter months it can get to as low as 60 degrees- and that is with the heater on. The concrete never gets warm, and it can be really inconvenient at times. The lighting is horrendous. It feels as you are living in a cave due to the lack of windows and the cold area. The lights do not help with this effect. It is always dim because of the paint scheme, and the lights are not too bright to begin with. The second floor, which is where I live, is horrible to live in. The roof is tin and, for an area like Waco, that is not a good idea. When it rains, which it does a lot, nothing can be heard except for the rain. It can get so loud and disturbing that I have actually been woken up by the rain. Also, there are many leaks that are either pre-existing or pop up suddenly. The maintenance is not a good program. I have had numerous leaks, yet a lot of them are the same ones. They are either fixed temporarily or they are never handled. There was even an instance where I had to call the office over 7 times, as well as email and leave messages many more times. Ultimately I had to fix the problem myself, and that did not turn out well whatsoever. As you can tell, my experience with 1911 Condominiums is not a good experience. I couldn't wait until my lease was up only 5 months into living here. The only upside, I will admit, is the location and the gated area. While there are parties here and there, and plenty of smoke around the area- some illicit and some not- it doesn't bother me.
This complex is ideal for Baylor students that want to save money (sans parking permit). With a short walk to campus, the condominiums house convenience and frugality. The apartments offer high ceilings and laundry within. However, bikers are given a limited area to chain their bike and a lot of the square feet is wasted by the entry way in the apartment. The leasing agents are very understanding and offer great rates and leasing options.
