Park Ridge. A stone’s throw from Chicago, it is home to the Pickwick Theatre, a celebrated art deco building constructed in 1928. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, its original large five-aisle design remains intact. For you movie buffs, the Pickwick was also a backdrop for the opening title of Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert’s “At The Movies.” When it comes to apartment living, Park Ridge is just the ticket. A sneak preview reveals a beautiful courtyard building close to shops (including grocery stores), restaurants, schools and the Metra.
