2100 Queens in falling apart from the inside out, and to say it is mismanaged is an understatement. There are structural issues with the plumbing running through our walls in multiple rooms that wakes us up and interrupts our work during the day. Our walls have been cut open for weeks and they have no idea how to fix the problem but with less than one business day's notice said they would be spray foaming the walls in two rooms to try to cover up the banging, clanking noise which sounds like someone is taking a hammer to the wall. They didn't even offer to help us move our belongings or tell us that we shouldn't be present while the spray foam work was to be done. The health and welfare of our family did not even occur to them-- and it still hasn't. The problem persists. The sound from our upstairs neighbor walking is unbearable and also wakes us multiple times a night, penetrating noise cancelling headphones and rattling items in our apartment. The management company is unresponsive, and does not do the minimum required of them, like replacing our key fob when ours abruptly stopped working; we had to beg for two weeks and contact RKW Corporate before we finally received one. The RKW leasing agent made misrepresentations when touring us that induced us to live here, which is unethical to say the least. The owner of the building ignores requests for a phone call to discuss the structural issues with his building and misrepresentations told to us by his agent but continues to collect our rent. They had the gaul of telling us we would need to forfeit our almost $5,000 security deposit and pay another 30 days rent if we wanted to move out. The apartment was filthy at move in, with items from the prior tenants left behind in several places and nail holes in the walls unfilled. The toilet was not secured to the floor and multiple other items have broken in the seven weeks that we've lived here. We also learned after moving in that the building has been broken into and items stolen out of the storage units downstairs; thankfully, we didn't take them up on the offer of a "half price" storage unit at move, which was presented to us as if they were doing us a favor. I wouldn't wish the experience of living at 2100 Queens on anyone.
