About This Property
SAFE RENTAL APARTMENT, AVAILABLE FULLY FURNISHED, WITH SECURE PARKING: Our rental agreement includes everything (utilities, internet, security cameras, etc.) and is month-to-month at $1,750, with the goal being a flexible, long-term rental. Rent-cost adjustments can be made for help around the house and yard. This is our private guest house, inside the 8-foot wall and locked driveway gates surrounding our property. Although as a rental, furnishings are optional, the apartment comes completely furnished (including linens, dishes, etc.) and is fully updated (with washer and dryer, all appliances). Two years ago, we welcomed a couple studying at LSU who needed a quiet, safe place to be. They are now moving on. We and our guest house are looking for companionable tenants. Perhaps what we have to offer will interest you. We are an LSU professor and his journalist wife, both old and retired. We are comfortable with dogs and those who value democracy and the American dream. Our ideal goal is to find folks who are like us and would enjoy being able to be private, yet have the security of being near to others who can offer support and help, if needed. The guest house is under our roof, but at the back, separated by a carport. Guest-house parking is on the driveway, next to the apartment's kitchen door. Behind the guest house the fenced lot (open and big) is available for tenant use. This house has never flooded. A dog is welcome, but smoking and cats are not.
